Hey Budz, How do you tell if the five fingered leaves are potential bud sites before signs of flower. Or do you see something that I don't.

There will be a few leafs that av bud sites on them what I do is take the leaf about 5ml from the end of the stem and then they still grow buds because I always leave that little 3-5ml of growth

U don’t need to go mad just take a few from each of the really over crowded spots and in a weeks time they’ll be twice as bushy lol

Interesting idea, MOG. I was struggling with how to tie them down if I decided to, but the weights account for that.

No, it isn't a styrofoam chest and cover, it is actually very hard plastic. However. j can see how it looks that way.

That is a good thing because you cannot stick anything to styrofoam. You can get little picture hooks with two sided tape and stick them to the top of that lid and tie your plants down with those. This is better than weights but the plant growth may dislodge them also.

I have some soft ties that I hope I can attach just a strategic few, so I can easily dislodge to lift the net pot from the cover if need be. I willl give it a go this weekend.

I will give this a go to help on the lst. To try and make this simple, each place there is growth off of a stem there are going to eventually be two shoots. The upper shot and the lower. The lower grows first and then the upper next. The lower eventually becomes the fan leaf or feed leaf for that particular site and these can be removed within reason at certain times during a plants growth. For now, you just need to get some of these sites weeded out so to speak of the lower fan leaf sites. Does that help?
