New Grower I probably should have waited until fall...

Most definitely different. The strawberry pheno is more aromatic and has incredible sweet flavor that just lifts you up and up as she hits you and then ever so gently she starts to set you back down until you feel content and safe feeling-stress reductor. I believe that her step sister will most likely be like Jessica or the Skunk pheno, the least favorite of mine, but super solid smoke. I am hoping she switches to the strawberry-spice version I had in that shorter pheno. Her colas look similar in shape,...we will see. That's part of the fun.
At this point for me, I actually get a little disappointed when the pheno I get isn't the best tasting one. For me there are three important things with herb:
1a. Potency- the stronger the better as I have a high tolerance and don't like spending too much time making concentrates.
1b. Taste- I like sweet, berries, and some either dank or fuel type overtones, but really if an herb has a great flavor, I will be into that more than a strong weed that has no flavor, so this is a close second place for me.
3. Effect- I like knowing what the effects of my meds are and I like to use them at the appropriate times(for the most part). I like more up in the daytime and down at night, but sometimes it is about the mood you are in.

It is difficult to find other growers who are willing to trade buds with you for guys who really like variety...I am happy smoking my own buds and choosing what I want to smoke for now, I just wish I had a little more control over which pheno I get!

That's the evolution I am shooting for. You are confident that you can get the natural genetics to respond fully in your grows. I, on the other hand, am just trying to see if I can grow some bud! I can't even imagine getting to the point where I am steering a plant to a particular pheno by adjusting the environment. That's expert growing right there. Good motivation for guys like me!

You will get there quicker than you think, but just enjoy the ride. You took on dwc as a first timer and that is tough. It really takes a lot of knowledge to be able to assess and correct. It can correct faster, but you must know what to do because it can also go south faster as well. Like I said bro, if you see anything strange, just give me a shout. We can assess it and get you back on track. I wish I had someone who could have helped me on those first couple. I screwed everything up and still for some bud, so don't worry. These things are weeds and hard to kill completely.

You guys have already helped the heck out of me, I really think my plants would have been dead had I not found this forum. My plants and I appreciate all the help.

MedC, I will be sending pics later for thoughts on whether I should LST or not, Budz, interested to hear your thoughts also.

Easy mate [emoji106]... I always do some sort of training and lst is a great technique bro if it were me yes I’d lst for sure buddy tie her down and they should start putting new shoots out straight away do a bit of defoliation aswell man ;)

Okay guys. I need serious LST and training advice. The plants were certainly stunted, but now they seem that they want to delay flower and catch up, and they have been doing that. In last few days both plants have grown significantly. Thay are loving the humidifier and the 55% humidity that it is producing, on average, it also has been keeping cabinet temps down a bit, but the last few days have only been in the 90's!

The plants are bushy as heck. I have defoliate the very bottom large fan leaves, as most were already damages by splashing water and such. I would really like to nail this flowering phase and maximize bud size. The plants are short and stout, with many new branches shooting out all over the place. I have been tucking as much as I can, but wonder if I should do something more, or just let it go.
