New Grower I probably should have waited until fall...

It would be good if you could open them up to let the light into the middle some more. When I ran a setup like that I used soft tie wire with fish weights to pull the center branches out and down. It takes some large weights and over time the plant will get strong enough to defeat them. By then it was time to defoliate the center. Is that a styrofoam ice chest and top?

Interesting idea, MOG. I was struggling with how to tie them down if I decided to, but the weights account for that.

No, it isn't a styrofoam chest and cover, it is actually very hard plastic. However. j can see how it looks that way.

Okay guys. I need serious LST and training advice. The plants were certainly stunted, but now they seem that they want to delay flower and catch up, and they have been doing that. In last few days both plants have grown significantly. Thay are loving the humidifier and the 55% humidity that it is producing, on average, it also has been keeping cabinet temps down a bit, but the last few days have only been in the 90's!

The plants are bushy as heck. I have defoliate the very bottom large fan leaves, as most were already damages by splashing water and such. I would really like to nail this flowering phase and maximize bud size. The plants are short and stout, with many new branches shooting out all over the place. I have been tucking as much as I can, but wonder if I should do something more, or just let it go.

Day 30

Mate start pulling the branches to the outside of the pot GENTLY and tie them off maximise light penetration ur plant r pretty bushy up top too if there r any 5 finger leafs in the way of bud sites then pull those leafs off too but don’t over do it u can defol up to wk 2-3 of flowering but be smart only take leafs that r going to help light get to ur bud sites mate

Hey Budz, How do you tell if the five fingered leaves are potential bud sites before signs of flower. Or do you see something that I don't.
