Lsd is in 3.0... Ive added some tea twice.... Sprayed it today with kelp and water...

hey fam!!! i have 2 cuft malibu compost, i have kelp from green leaf nutrients, i have crustacean meal, and alfalfa meal, i also have biochar... should i add any of this stuff to my soil, especially the new lsd baby??? if not i have some craft blend/ as well as topdress kit in my cart from buildasoil... is craft blend better than topdress kit? im also out of soil, i may start the next bean in coco dtw... i like the soil so im still wanting to learn it... anybody making their own soil with coco instead of peat??? i bought the compost so i can make about 9 cuft of soil, but i wanna use perlite, and coco instead of lava rocks and peat... even if i use peat, i want perlite for aeration... if i get this right... i cant wait to switch from dtw to soil beds... time for some pics
Hahaa.. Whooaaaa tiger, lol.. First thing that needs to happen is to figure out what is causing the issue with the LSD.. Then figure out the best option to help or resolve it.. You have kelp, crustacean, alfalfa and bio char.. You'll want to read up on these things to learn what they are used for and why they are added, and when. The craft blend can be used as a top dress.. If you check the ingredients of the craft blend, it has all three meals that you listed above, already in it.. I don't think under feeding is the issue with the LSD so I can't recommend adding anything until we get a little info on it. I don't know of anyone who mixes soil with coco successfully. I aslo would not recommend mixing and making soil until you know how the ingredients work.. Unless you plan on sending your mix off to be tested for nutrient levels.. I'd leave that up to the pros for now. It's hard enough to learn how to grow healthy plants, let alone make a soil with the proper ratios of ingredients.

Ok. Are the spots on the leaves from the spray?

Yes... Im sorry.... I was complaining about the fading... I maybe sprayed too much, that was 2 hours after I sprayed...

Ok, no worries.. If they were rust spots that would be a different issue than what I was thinking.. I was just making sure. Sooo. After going back and checking the first pics of the LSD I can see that this issue has been going on from the very start. It's also been trying to recover as well.. I would just use water only for a while and let it try to recover. I know the soil is not lacking anything, so it's more about the plants ability to uptake the nutrients. I think it's more of the plant experiencing shock and trying to make adjustment than a deficiency.

I cant wait till the day when I'm sitting back laughing at this newbness... Thanks @Proph
My coco kicking strong

Aye @Proph maybe its my watering... Because I doubt im doing it right... My coco stays WET same amount of water everyday everytime.... Ive been trying to water a seedling in a 5 gallon fabric pot, and not over water... Ive maybe been under watering.... My soil pots are heavy.... That's why I want perlite instead of rocks for aeration.... I can't lift these pots up... They are 30" above floor level, and in the far corner of a corner.... I water with a 32oz mcdonalds cup to each plant maybe once every 2 days, sometimes 3... And when the smoothie, and bubblegum got to mature size it was maybe a cup and a half, or 2 cups every 2 days...32oz cup.... I buy the tea 2 gallons at a time and try to water all 3... I ve never been able to use a full 2 gallons up.... I pour it out.... Last time only used 1 gallon.... I read this soil shouldn't get a large amount of water, but a small amount more frequently.... So....

That could definitely be the culprit. I water my soil using the 10% rule.. 1 gallon of water per 10 gallons of soil.. And that should be almost daily. If the LSD is in a 3 gallon pot, the 32 ounces is ok, it just needs to be daily.. If it's in a 5 gal pot, then it needs to be 64oz daily.

I'll step it up...

@Proph i was wanting to build my soil from buildasoil kit.... Do you still think I should not???? Was gonna get their nutrient kit and mineral kit... I have 2 bags of Malibu compost, and was gonna buy peat and perlite maybe plus pumice and add a cuft of ewc.... Buildasoil sales a 2.2 cuft kit I have in my cart... Plus a recipe... You think im ready??? Was thinking of filling two 27 gallon Totes and putting 2 photos in each tote.... Too advanced??? Anything else I need?
