I Just today realized that this thread was not started by you Carlos. I'm sure no one is pissed but it is proper etiquette to start your own thread if you have questions specific to your situation unless it's a quick yes or no or something... No offense at all, but could you begin your own so that iLuvIndica may have his thread back? ;)

No worries I'm just trying to be polite when I'm not to stoned to notice something...LOL

CFL's are only cheaper to run than HID's if you are using less watts.... If you have 600 watts of CFL's going you might as well have a 600w HPS going so you do get that higher yeild.

yea so i figured after all this im going to get a 250 watt growing cfl actual watts puts out 19500 lumens 6500k for my 3 sour 60s in a 1ft9in x 2ft x 5ft space just fits 3- 3 gallon pots costs 95$ with refloctor and evrything any ideas would this be sufficient with like 8 27 watt 5000k cfls for side lighting would i get thick dense buds plus if you check my other thread on the nutes i have good combo or what ?

Seems like you have all cool (5000-6500K spectrum for veg cycle) but no warm (2700K for blooming)... I would get the 250 watt CFL in warm (2700) for the overhead in the reflector and add the smaller cools (and some warms) as side lighting...

i have a reg 68 watt warm cfl im only trying to get the cool overhead bc i heard and came to realize it makes more sense idk that naturally the rudalis bloomed in the summer in mostly blue spec was pmed that autos like blue spec for throughtout thier enitre life im confused your saying use warm and someone else is saying blue sighhh

Well sunlight provides everything in the spectrum (cool and warm and everything in between) so in it's natural setting, it is switching from USING the blue even though the red is there too for vegging, and then as it flowers it switches to USING mostly the red spectrum even though the blue is still there. Comparing natural sunlight to inside grow rooms lights is pointless. Just because you see no difference in light outdoors doesn't mean the plant is using the same spectrum the whole time....
If you look around you will find that it is very possible to grow from seed to finish with the warm spectrum only, regardless of whether it's an auto or not. However if you try to use the cool spectrum the whole grow the flowers will be TINY and the plant will be leggy...

So the best thing for me to get would be the warm light then you know anyone else that backs you ? just sayin idk i wanna make sure ur right if im gonna send 100$

I will try to get one of the mods to respond, would that make it easier to believe me? How about this, these were grown with 2700K CFL only besides a few hours of actual sunlight... white dwarf and some bagseed I LSTed...

I have had many successful grows with florescent bulbs. wish I had more harvest pics for ya...
