Grow Mediums How Long Have you Been Growing with Coco?

I've been using coco for about 5 years. I started out with the big bricks for the first couple years, but arthritis in my hands forced me to switch over to the loose kind. My favorite brand is called CocoPearl, but I can't get it in my area any longer. I'm getting ready to try some small bags I picked up at Lowes or HD, I can't remember which. I have some coarse perlite to mix in and I'm also getting ready to do my first Auto-pot grow with coco/perlite as the medium. :pass:

5 hours! I have an Fb Mimosa Cake in ecothrive pro (inna yoghurt pot - waiting for perlite.

It's been a long time but I'm thinking about learning again!

Let’s get this thread going again!

I have grown I coco in the past for almost 2 years. I tried DWC after coco, and then did peat based mixes for a while. Just started back into coco with my two current cycles. A monster Samsquanch x Forum Stomper in a 10 gallon cloth pot, and 3 x 3BOG in 3 gallon cloth pots.

I got away from coco because I was looking to try something that’s a little less hands on, but my results with coco were always the best. I am hand watering now, but I am working towards automatic water and drain systems.

Using Canna coco and nutrients.

Happy growing!

I am no master, just a lazy gardener.
Coco is just so easy, set and forget sort of thing.

I have grown in coco for the better part of 20 years.
3 gallon smartpots, coco and blumats.:woody:

Now I have time on my hands I am getting into soil grows. Looking for that little something that is lacking in hydro grows.

4t :smoking:
Funny that @4tokin I have just last week set up my first tent just for soil, got 7 in regular soil and one in Living/soil, I will use blumats for that - but I still have a tent with a recirc system with Coco and Pebbles, plug and play once it is set up - thats been the same since 2007/8 (with a mightily long break from growing altogether in between). How are you finding this soil malarky?
