Grow Mediums How do you water/feed your coco?

whoa... 0.8-1.0 EC for seedling... i usually give half the 1ml AN nutes and i`t gets me to 0.3 EC (i use RO) and water in flowering around 1.0 EC...
@blue how do you not burn your seedling with 1.0 EC? share the secret :D

i second the Bluelab recommendation. I have a Bluelab monitor and i love it. They are connectable with Bee controllers too now. ;)

:D there's no secret to share.

The Canna infopages say that cannacoco pro plus is buffered to 0.8ec. They're quite insistant that if you water below 0.8 it will affect the coco in a negative way.
I have no experience with RO water.

In ful flower i would expect to be watering (in coco) at 1.5ec plus - this would include base nutes, (rhizo and boost which don't effect EC iirc) and Pk booster (dutch pro explode)

I now do none of it as i'm using biotabs in soil. I don't have the time for the jiggery pokery anymore.

I'd say if you are getting good restults, stick with what you know! :D

:d5:

Hand water and make sure you have a good amount of run off, that way you will know its been properly watered. I use a cheap Ph meter from amazon, tested and compared with the strips and its been working great for over a year now. You can also adjust it with ph neutral solution if you need to, so far it has kept its setting.

is anyone running an automated RTW (run to waste) setup with coco? im contemplating the idea of maybe setting something up, i have 10 airpots i want to find a use for once im done with soil, have seen some interesting reading about run to waste systems with coco would love some input from anyone thats done it?

I have coco/ perlite in 3 gal pots and water once a day when light come on about 600 mills. I pour straight in the middle most of the time then now and then around the pot aswell to make sure the whole root system is getting fed.
Only time really used the ph pen is to make water 6 for cloning with ph down. Our tap water sits around 7 and ppm of 150.

Nope, if I completely soak the mix to get run off would water with lager interval. Ive notices a down ward hook on the points if i water too much every day. As if its almost over watered. So I like to let it dry up just a bit then water. For me thats bout the 600 mills daily 6pm when flower lights come on.
Also clones in rockwool that have rooted and then you pot them in coco perlite, u can easly over water them aswell. I would not water till run off daily :)

It's quite interesting to see the variance in how we treat our coco. I too use 3 gal pots, I hand water with squeezy bottles, 1 liter per pot. Now here's where mine get weird, in flower they are getting watered every 8 hours or as close to that as I can get. I'm running quarter strength sensi bloom, and boosting PK in flower with big bud and overdrive. If you've grown in soil it feels real weird to put that much water in a pot in a day but it seems to be working alright. I am running near 100% coco and she gets dry fast.

I'm in 3 gals 70\30 coco perlite and i give each plant about 1.2 liters twice a day. Some plants gets a good run off, some not much.As a new grower (2 grows,6 plants,a 3\4 an a half pounder) that method gave me good results so i'm sticking to it.But i agree that there's more then one way to skin a cat...

Hectic maybe I must try water till run off like you guys are doing?
