if you can find large clear bags you can just grow them in there. Allow a little ventilation but not a direct flow or anything. Cfls are sufficient for what you need so I suppose you could go as far as maybe using a sterilite tote stood on end. The plate to catch the pollen will work but its actually pretty inefficient and you stand a much better chance of errant pollination. Using any other type plastic bag meaning a white one should allow SOME light. I don't know if it would be enough to encourage growth though. Black bags, paper bags etc...will not work unless it is in the late stages of pollination. By that time a ton of the shit is already dropped and your females are getting too far along. Absence of light will just kill the plant and probably prematurely at that. Drive by a department store and look near the dumpster or in it if ya have to and get a sufficient size cardboard box. Devote that to a male grow box. Punch a hole near the top. Go buy a 10$ clamp on light and a 26w cfl. That's all ya need. No filters, no fans, no high wattage lights, nothing. If its a male worth keepin hell show himself in two weeks. Then just place him in the box in the container you started him in. Let the heat build up and run the lights 24/7. Pick the pollen sacs off when ya see the petals form and in just a couple weeks you'll be sick of fooling with him but you'll have gotten quite a bit of pollen in the meantime.
