Hey Kush T, how's things?
Sorry I'm still learning myself and can't offer much advise with all that gear u have there. :( My grow consists of two bottles of nutes, and a bit of lemon juice when needed. Lol. So all in all its been plain and simple for me.

For dirt- I wouldn't worry about them yet as u won't be needing anything for 3/4 wks. Let them babys chill and do there thing.

But hydro- I'm sorry I know even less about this :( and cudnt comment at all but not to worry, there r plenty around that do. I'm sure sum one will pop by soon and help out.

Gud luk with the beans ill be lookin in later. :)

Cheers Mandy, appreciate your input. Yeah.... probably overdone it on the nute front but thought I'd stock up before my wife cottoned on how much I was spending on the credit card ha ha...... It has now been confiscated!! "Too late honeybun I've already got everything I need" :crying: Ahh the joys of marriage : :D

1. When making my up my solution should i let it sit for 24hrs before using it + does putting an air pump in for that 24hrs do anything? (i have 2 pretty weak air pumps that came with the oxypots that i wont be using for growing)
2. What effects the EC in your solution :stir:, I know your basic veg & bloom food does but do other things affect it to? Like mag/cal supplements, Carbo Load (thats another question right there coz that stuff is like syrup!!) Root Stim (Rhizotonic) Superior Potash, Liquid Sillicon, PK 13/14? I know this sounds really stupid because if all that stuff probably does. Im not sure in my head how to go about adding all these things & not vastly overshooting my disired EC.
3. Should I correct my PH before & after I mix my solution or just after?
4. Carbo load is like a syrup is it ok just to fire it into the solution ie: does it dissolve ok or just fall to the bottom? should I make it up seperately in water & then add to my main solution?
5. I've also bought some H202, will I need that with 30L of air pumping thru my res?
I had another question but that has coinceidently been already answered by Seymour on the forum just this morning, about what way to plant cracked seeds into rockwool cubes.

Well that was pretty embarrasing :o, I'm sure there will be a few reading this will be like :crying: he hasn't a hope, but hey we all gotta start somewhere eh :help:
Right chew those over folks I look forward to hearing any help thats out there.

:peace:

1> You don't have to let it sit out, unless it's tap water, in which case let that sit out and bubble for 24 hours then add then nutes, although I guess you could do either. The bubbling pumps the water full of oxygen which is awesome for the roots. Always do this.

2> Any additives or nutes you add will affect the EC, ppm, etc.

3> I think it depends on what nutes you're using. I have seen some growers ph the water and when using organic or say Advanced Nutrients ph perfect lineup, they add it and don't check again. It's up to you just add as least of the liquid ph up or down as possible, too much can be bad for the plants. I use General Organics nutes and they bring my ph down a full point with just a small dose. If it's in range I leave it if not I add a little ph up, that stuff goes a long way, like a drop or a few per gallon. It'll take a while to get used to but it'll come. Just don't add more of ph up if you get too far down using ph down, or vis vera, follow? If you go too far one way or the other, scrap that water or you can try adding more plain water to get it back in range, you just don't wanna keep adding ph up and down to that same gallon, you'll have too much in there.

4> The Carbo load should dissolve fine if you shake it up well and/or bubble it.

5> I am not greatly experienced in hydro systems but I have heard of H2O2 being used, that's just peroxide, it cleans and/or helps with oxygen, seymour is better to ask on that.

5.3> Plant those seeds point down, that's where the tap root emerges from.

Don't be embarrassed dude, you're right every one has to start somewhere. Basically everyone here has been in your shoes, so it's hard for some people to want to help out. Not that they're bad people they just don't have the 'helper blood'. Hope this helps man.

Cheers for that reply Squid,

Ok folks, the beans were soaking for over 12hrs but hadn't sank, I gave them a tap & they dropped like a stone, so I tried to float them again but they wouldn't any more so they're in the tent in moist paper towels with the radiator on to warm them up a bit... Let's see what happens.

Sounds good T Dog. And no problem man, anytime.
