if your using a tank with pump, put seeds in rockwell cubes in prop till 4-6 inch, then transplant, water in tank easy to check nutes/ph but a fish pond air pump in the bottom will help airate the water, helped when i was hydro growing!

Morning AFN.....

Quick update... Checked my beans this morning & one of them has cracked so far, I just moistened the kitchen roll again & put the plate back in... Could there be a tap root starting by the time I get home from work? Hmm I hope the other one has cracked by then as well. Hard to believe I'm actually getting started now after all the research on my lights & set up, getting my wife onside ( that was super hard.. phew!!) buying beans, waiting for lights to be delivered & gathering up all the stuff I have so far it's been a long couple of months.
But anyway let's get it on lady's!!

So quick update folks...
Got home from work & both beans had cracked, so I've soak a couple of rockwool cubes in 5.4ph bubbled aqua de tap & then planted my beans & they're now under 1 light... I'm sure that'll be plenty for now. So it's a bit late now but how long are you supposed to soak rockwool cubes for? & I didn't squeeze any water out of them before planting... Is this correct?..... Anyone..



Feel free to chime in folks if I'm doing anything wrong, I won't be offended just very grateful.

Here another noob question.. When does your light cycle start? Now or when they pop they're heads up? If it now then I've started it at the wrong time for lights out, maybe it doesn't matter. I have a tendency to get over technical when learning something, over technical for where I'm at anyway.... If you know what I mean...

Yeah Lowcoast I'm going 20/4, that seems the way with these auto's so it seems. So does the cycle start now or can I start it proper when they pop they're heads up, maybe keep the light on until they pop up.. I dunno ha ha flying blind!! Well not completely blind I've got AFN!! :smokebuds::booya:
