@Frenjamin Banklin I like what you’re doing there bud, trying to lower input (electricity mostly)while maintaining output(fat dank buds), that’s something I can get behind, saving money is my motto and every penny is a prisoner haha, loving learning all this new information and other people’s takes on growing, love this forum!

@Mañ'O'Green Thanks amigo much appreciated, I’ve taken them off since my humidity is 66-71 and seems to stay there so all good now I think.
Been learning some about VPD today too and seems I’m at about .85ka if I’m working things out correctly, which is so close to recommended low transpiration bracket for seedlings, need to put more reading into that one though only discovered VPD today

I’m definitely not going to bother with the cups anymore, got my humidity sitting nice at 66-71%, thanks for the heads up from you and man’o’green on that one guys, could’ve been nasty...
Good to know I can mess around with the extraction kit later when I’ve got my smaller tent on the go, I would hate to have to buy another system to leave one sitting gathering dust in the loft, just need to keep my filter fresh, happy days.
The fan I’ve got is the 5” rvk I think it’s about 220cfm but the filter will restrict too yeah, seems ok so far with the fan up full and one mesh slot of the tent open, the walls pull in and hold but I guess I won’t know the effectiveness until I’ve got some stanky buds growing haha.
I will definitely follow your grow amigo I’m soaking up into like a sponge at this point, can’t get enough of it

Awesome start but I suggest you lower your RH. I wouldn't advise anything over 65%...Good ranges are 45%-60%. A 70% RH will most likely close the plant stomata. They won't be able to take in water from the leaves and receive adequate energy. Other than that I'm subbed in for this bountiful grow

@Illini4life lol it’s good to know I’m not bonkers then, my mate said I went overboard for my first grow but I want it to be awesome so I put in the effort like I do with everything else, you get out what you put into it in my opinion.
I whipped through more of your journal last night and those girls look mighty fine in veg what I’m seeing so far is amazing dude, looking forward to catching up with the rest tonight

If i pull 1.5 lbs on my first run i will be one happy chappy amigo, busting out the victory dance


@AutoMania10 Thank you dude I was thinking lower it a bit today now that all my ladies are above soil but wasn’t sure yet, lowered down to 60-62 now, trying to master VPD so that I understand the stomata and transpiration better but not had much time for research the last couple
Of days so definitely much appreciated bud and thanks for following my first grow

Will update on the girls very soon, all above soil anyway 10/10 success with just one runt due to stuck seed cap but all good now thanks to a cotton bud and lukewarm water

A few pics of some of the ladies, they are all fairly similar in size and looks so didn’t upload every one, just a couple healthy lookers and the runt due to stuck seed cap, all in all seems to be going well and a happy chappy
Gave them all a good spray with 1ml per litre of root juice, will start watering normally tomorrow round about the seedlings
Started using oscillating fan on and off throughout the day to strengthen stems 10-20 min bursts every hour or so.
Lowered light from 30” to 24” don’t want too much stretching, or do you guys think I should lower it some more?
Mars hydro tsl2000 is the light I’m using, any advice on height at this stage welcome, thanks

The grow is starting off great
We've all scoured the far reaches of the internet for info haha, it certainly pays off though:smoking:
Following this one, I'm thinking 3oz a plant and with the knowledge you gain off the first run you'll blow by the 1.5lbs from here on out

You should be fine at 24". My apollo12 doesn't get any closer then 20 inches at any stage. It will bleach any closer.:smoking:
