New Grower Hermaphordite report

Hey not a problem. I should have been more specific at the start of the thread.

ahh ok I thought you was talkin bout Fruity Chronic juice..I bought these last year to do a lil sum sum and didnt get around to it thought I was gonna have to deal with hermies...a lil relief..but still not outta the water.

I had a weird thing with my Dinafem Road Runner on my last grow, it grew fast was a nice fat compact little plant but when I chopped it...one lower bud site had seeds! nowhere else did, neither did it pollinate my other plants.

I did run it longer than 60 days about 68, from what I read some femmed seeds hermie late in flower as a survival trait?

I'm currently vaping some BHD fom short stuff at the moment, I got 2 females out of 5 femmed seeds (attitude) really nice stuff but I'm a bit put off by this.

My mate reckons it is the blueberry they crossed it with, I don't know. It is a real shame though as I'd probably run it again if it were not for this as it's a nice high and had a huge dense central colas.

You would need to leave them a lot longer than 68 days, probably more like 90+ and even then they might not hermie.

How long ago did you get those HBD seeds?

my last grow was outdoors in a shed.
we had a few cold days ,during that time
the heater quit.
I was only able to run a shop light t8
fixture,128w, during daylight hours...
about 10 1/2 hours a day.
I think the cold and low light hours caused
a Auto Assassin to hermie..
at the nodes were both female hairs and
male balls.

Who knows what caused this (more than likely my own fault) but I did find bananas on the buds of two Mi5's I chopped. Never saw any other indications of it being male.

I'm a little confused by seeds do you mean hanging balls that turn into male flowers or actual female seeds very different. I won't bother answering until you clear it up for me.

I grow AA and haven't had any hermes. My guess is that the cold stressed the plant and it hermied. That is not the seeds fault. Stress is kind of another matter. Plants do herme when stresses but it is a bit of a warning sign anyway. Lots of plants are succeptable to herme under stress and others take stress very well. Femming a plant that changes sex under stress is a total crap shoot. I prefer not to do it. Some say femmed seeds are more prone to stress related hermes than regulars. I don't know if this is true or not. It would take a real study to prove it one way or the other. Rumors are only facts when it is proved but sometimes rumors are a good indication.

Did you grow them out to see if they turned male?

Nelson, I grew them until their chopping dates. It was day 76 ish. I will try and get a picture of a banana on a curing bud. Otherwise, the plants were very female. It was probably from me stressing them at some point.

You stressing them or they being prone to herme are often two sides of the same coin.
