New Grower Here we go... n00b grows in CoCo!

Day 28

After a nice holiday, I’m back at it. Had a good friend watch over the plants for 5 days while we were out of town. I expected to come back to some sad girls, but it was the exact opposite! It seems the stretch has now started on the WW and EM, these plants are easily double their height from when I had left. CBD is doing well, just alot more bushier/compact. I also flipped the bloom switch on the Vipar on, giving the plants full power now. Temps are around 79h 69l, and RH is around 60%

I mixed up a new batch of nutes. The mix was 15L RO water, 1.5ml ArmorSi, 7ml CaliMagic/Micro/Grow/Bloom for a total of 385ppm. All three plants got fed 2L each, wasn’t seeming to get much/any runoff with a feeding of 1-1.5L.

I also hit all three plants with some major LST. Tamed them all down with pipe cleaners and clothes pins, and opened them up, exposing all the inner plant. Definitely a large difference in plant structure between the topped plants and the un-topped one. It was much easier for me to spread out the topped two plants nodes, then it was the un-topped one. Day 32

Happy New Year![emoji3060][emoji3060]

A few days after all the tying down/LST, and the plants have turned into nice even bushes. The WW is starting to pre-flower, and I just noticed pistils today on the CBD. The EM is the bushiest of the three, but still just vegging along. I hope it doesn’t take me down the same road of not autoflowering, like what happened to @Mavadines lol. All though it’s not the worst problem to have what so ever, it would mess up a few things by having to switch to 12/12.

The feed I have been using for the past 3 days was 18l water, 6ml ArmorSi, 9ml CaliMagic/Micro/Grow/Bloom for a total of 422ppm. They are drinking about 1.5-2L of feed each day. I have also been cleaning up underneath the canopy, snipping a few of the small leaves near the bottom, and a few of the big fan leaves sitting in the dirt/shading bud-sites. Temps are sitting around 82° with 62% RH, lights are 33” above canopy.

Everything is looking great! Finger's crossed yours flowers on her own...it's not the worst thing in the world if not but it sure does screw with timing. If I had the choice I would have preferred mine to have come and gone already

Day 34

Nothing good to report today. I found that the humidifier has created a wicked layer of salt on basically everything in the box. I have been turning off my water softener and filling 5gal buckets of water for the humidifier, but even that wasn’t enough. I’ll have to just use RO water in the humidifier from here on out. I discovered this by the temperatures slowly rising over the past week. It was getting up to 84° and I couldn’t figure out why. Turns out the carbon filter is on its way to being completely clogged with the salt residue, and was restricting the exhaust. The walls have a white residue on them, and I’ve noticed white salt residue on the leaves of the plants. I ditched the carbon filter and fixed the temperature issue. Also, we are getting a RO system for under the sink, so I can fill my own 5gal bottles and pails at home [emoji1360].

I want to wash the plants off on the weekend, how should I go about this? Just spray them down with plain ph’d water at lights off? Or....?

I also found my feed bucket was at 5.1 ph after I calibrated my pen today, so yesterday’s feed for the EM and CBD must’ve been off by a fair bit. I don’t have actual PH up, so I had to use more ArmorSi to raise the ph, bringing it to 450ppm. Hopefully no ill effects result from it. I switched WW to its own feed mix, mixing 1gal RO water with 0.5ml ArmorSi, 2ml CaliMagic, 2ml Micro, 0.5ml Grow, 2.5ml Bloom for a total of 430ppm. Hopefully that’s all the bad for now [emoji23][emoji3061].

Edit: CBD and EM are both showing signs of pre-flowering now, so I guess I have one good thing to say [emoji1360][emoji41]

Day 38

So I’ve started to suspect that WW / EM are a little low on something, and I think it may be magnesium. Noticed the upper growth on both looked a little light, with darker veins in the leaves on WW, and theres alot of purple stems showing up on them. One lower fan leaf went from green to yellow to dead in 2 days on WW, and EM has one that looks similar. White Widow -

Been having issues with my new pH pen for the past week as well, I think it’s toast (waiting for 7.0 buffer to calibrate it). I had 6.86 buffer so I pulled out the old yellow pen, calibrated it, and have been using that till I get my new one figured out. I feel at least 3-5 feedings were at the wrong pH reading, and I don’t know what it was.
