Extraction Hash. Tips, pics and whatever.

I just flatten the hash onto cardboard. The cardboard acts as a desiccant and pulls the water out. Flip the patties once. comes out plenty dry. i stopped freezing it just saw no need.

So what's the consensus on drying the ice water extract (bubble hash?)?
Some say into the freeze and out to thaw and this process is repeated many times. Others put it on cardboard and dry it that way before freezing.

When I get there I will see if I can do a grate and final dry or something else along those lines. It is a lot better than starting with a wet clump.
This is the way. It’s great for a 24 hour dry to get it into a solid mass, then freeze for an hour or two and microplane onto a parchment lined half sheet. I dried mine in my garage (beverage only, so no off odors) fridge at ~30-40% RH for 7-10 days.

It’s much better than freezing a wet clump! Just won’t get you all the way to rosin dry and they don’t really say that in his post.

7g from Black Dragon x Amnesia Haze. Tasty.

Probably the cleanest ethanol extract I've ever made.

Just got some bubble bags in today. I'll be messing with those later. Got around 100g larf and 90g fresh trim. All in the freezer waiting for outside temps to get below freezing and I'll go play around in the garage. Do you guys reuse your water for subsequent batches? Like do I reuse my water from the first wash to do the second or should I start with fresh water each wash?

I use fresh water each wash. Don't want my hash to look green...
That makes sense to me. Thanks.

Here's some iso extract from the leftovers of dry sifting. Looks pretty good considering.

Here's what's left from dry sifting. Whew this shit gets me high.

Gonna turn it into a puck soon.

Here's the result of bubble bags. I have a three bag set. You can see everything getting greener. By the fourth wash it is looking like wasabi

Made a ball from the fourth wash stuff. :smoking:
The first three washes are still drying I guess. Hard to tell how much moisture they have in em. Some stuff I had read indicated drying might take two weeks...
