Hello all - so this week I went on a hunt for hash and as always the hippies came good - I got a nice slab of moroccan export grade, but better than normal, very pliable, nice aroma etc...
Anyway, I thought I would press some to see what comes out. I use a 4 ton Devil Press, good kit but bastardly over priced, and as I am not handy in any way buying always trumps DIY for me.
Didn't weigh what went in or out as I dont have scales for that.
Temps - 155 for 30 seconds, using about 1/2 to a 1/3 of pressure available - I was pleasantly surprised at what came out.

I use a stone Pizza oven thing as the tray to collect on, a few minutes in teh freezer and it comes out cold and stays cold for a nice easy scrape up.

I only had a 70 micron bag so I want to try it again with a much smaller mesh size.
After a short while the shatter turned to a blob, lathered it over a rizla paper and rolled a small dooby, lordy lordy - it is what the hash they keep in Morocco tastes like which sort of makes sense - I really nice black hash (dry sift) smell.
