10 feet X 10 feet holes (18inches deep). Make friends with a horse farmer...using just horse shit, lime and a large hole you will get big plants with "decent" amounts of bud(lb and a half off most strains)....add a good bloom fert during flower in combination and whammo. The only drawback to using lots of horse manure is taste suffers a bit, but I would rather get 2 pounds of potent weed that has a slightly harsh after taste than 1/4lb of great tasting bud.

treeman, I really love the Mephisto field of dreams. They look great, well blended. Really looking forward to the hbss I'm gonna start this month. Let us know the dry weights if you will. good work man.
My garden is more square shaped..10X10 feet and yes only 18inches deep per plant. I find working such a large shallow hole promotes massive side roots...a buddy with 50years outdoor exp, thinks that the plant wants to grow naturally outward to shade the side expanding rootbase. Interesting thought, but all I know is they certainly get large with so much loose ground to work through.
Looking great treeman. Have you been hit with any of the storms the past few days/weeks? I think I remember you're a bit more north than me but we've finally got some decent rain.
If you're close to the 401 corridor there's tons of swamp/marshy area's as I drive to Quebec occasionally dreaming of planting in those spots. Might drop a few beans next June and come back late September to see how it works.
