Outdoor Guerrilla 15...

Ive been kinda switching between activated teas and chem fertilizers, flora nova series. Checked some autos (mephisto hbss x dinafem mobydick) I put in a corn field today, they were planted directly as seed in a row that didnt get planted, when the corn was about knee high. They havent been getting enough light, so I knocked down the stalks on either side of them and also dumped some ferts on them today. not sure if they will amount to anything to, cuz the corn is pretty tall...

I dumped some activated tea on my mephistos today. made in a 5 gallon jug with rain water, 1 cup alfalfa meal and 2 cups compost and 1/2 cup organic black soil from my garden, bubbled for 2 days in my garage.
These are starting to frost up pretty good, hoping they grow for a while still, they are about 60 days above soil, planted directly as seeds also.

Those mephistos look good
There is really not much point putting activated teas and chem ferts on the same soil. The chem ferts will kill off the microbial life you've introduced with the teas and irritate any worms so they'll leave the area. I have reverted to chem ferts to finish a grow in pots where soil life was devoid. One or the other imo. :pass::peace:

Yeah Ive read that, It looked like some of these plants in organic soil were deficient and I didnt have an easy way to supplement them. I started brewing some activated teas after I had already tried using chem ferts, but its kinda guesswork about what to put into them. I know I need to dig larger holes for my photos next season. My autos seem to do fine in drilled holes, but photos restricted to a 8 inch wide hole 2 feet deep causes issues I think, of course roots can go beyond that barrier, but some of the soil Im in isnt great so it probably doesnt do them much good, except for finding additional moisture I suppose. Corn field Ill keep using chems on, cuz that soil is already pretty much dead anyway.

Yeah can imagine the corn fields dead soil. The poor little auto, even some photo's have a job outstretching corn lol ! I do my photo holes about 4ft deep & about 2.5-3ft wide. If you're in crappy or destroyed soil, make holes as big as possible. Thats alot of soil to haul into a guerilla site, but, if it's a good site, it is worth the work as you can use that plot long term and it will get better and better with time.

I start photos in huge 10'X10' holes 1 and a half shovels deep and routinely get monster plants, with just well rotted horse manure added. Plants start april 1st under flouros and are put in the ground june 1st

I'm gonna keep diggin deeper n wider next time !

Seems like you were digging in the wrong direction? I don't go more than 18" deep.(if that)

Edit- Though after noting your location, you might want to go as deep as you can for the extra moisture content a deep hole would provide. :)

Update of my female hbss x MD cornfield plants. Its been HOT and DRY for several weeks now. Dumped about 1/2gal of fert water on each one again this morning. They are growing but not sure if they will fill in much, not a lot of sun for the poor gals in this location...

My mephisto field of dreams is turning out better than I expected, they are about 10 weeks from seed and I harvested 3 of them today that didnt have many white hairs left, some are still going strong tho, they are all on plain water right now. Hope they put on some more weight, but they look really good right now as they are.

Flash really shows how white they are. By far the frostiest plants I have ever grown.

My OGS photos are chugging along, the soil isnt great where they are located and deficiencies are showing. Still they arent doing badly...

Im still spraying one branch on these with STS, hoping for a reversal to get some fem seeds for next year. Also I pollinated a couple bottom branches with some Toof Decay feminized pollen I had in my freezer and I have at least a few seeds growing from that, so they should be photo's also....
