Hey people.

Ive had a few auto grows under my belt but still learning. My last one came out okay but had minimal smell.
Not really had much trouble this grow so far. A bit of over watering i think at some point, and i think ive over fed them a lttle bit as im getting some claw on a few of them. just gonna feed plain water for the next few waterings.
All but 3 are showing sex :D.

One of the pineapple expresses topped herself at the start. basically stopped growing from the centre and has two main branches coming up. looking forward to see how that come out.

Also i was going to lst them all, should i start with that now, or let them get a bit bigger?

Just wondered how you think they are doing for 17 days?
They dont look to small?

Thanks everyone

Cheers man. Would it be okay to start lst, or let them get a bit bigger?

Is there a need to keep them short ? The larger ones look pretty bushy already ... Although I generally start LST early, if I'm going to use it, when I look at yours I see plants (larger ones) that I probably wouldn't LST since they have a pretty good shape already .... I use three primary LST techniques; Pony Tail, Super Cropping, & tie them open ... I don't see any of yours that look to be in need of any training at this point ... probably due to proper height of your grow light ... If you're sure you want to LST them I'd wait 4-5 days until the branches are a little longer and able to be opened up ... they look great ... hope your pots have plenty of drainage holes ...

Would have to agree, plants look like they will grow nicely.
Also due to the short life cycle of autos I am always reluctant to lst or top, although I know there are growers who achieve great results with these techniques, I just don't see the need with Autoflowers, which is part of why I like them.

Good luck.

There isnt really a need to keep them short. I just thought if i lst them i would get better light penetration to the buds and produce larger buds? They are under two 600 watt hps. Average temps lights on 24c-27c lights off 19c-20c
There are large drainage holes at the bottom of the buckets.
Thank you for your kind words and rep:D

All LST techniques are good to know ... I used to LST the shit out of my plants until I realized that there is point where the plants are better left to their own structure building but w/ some form of training ... when you see a large plant with a tall main stem you're looking at a great example of a plant that early on needed some form of LST for maximum yield ... when I see a main stem that looks like it wants to stretch I super crop it to make the outer branches grow faster ... if I let the main stem get away from me I'll tie it down which often happens several weeks into flower ... Your larger plants all look like somebody did a great job of applying a pony tail technique to get them to be bushy ... I would keep an eye out for a dominant main stem to super crop but until then they need to grow a little bigger to show you what shape they want to grow into so you'll know if you want or need to LST ... plants look great !

Just had a look at them and some have shot right up in the last couple of days.
I do really want to lst to get as much as possible out of them as i dont know if i can get another one in for a while after this time around. Will LST really improve yield that much? Im just so indecisive on what to do. waht do ya think?
I really like how they are doing, but like i said i want to get as much as poss out of them. If i do lst i think i should wait another couple of days.
I tried bending over a few of them but they feel so solid i dont want to do it to much as i feel they will snap. So i left them for the moment.
Heres an update at 19 days old.
The little one is Northen express by fast buds, a freebie. I did have stardawg there at first but the seedling didnt make it. I think NE is about 10 days old, not to sure.

This is the PE the topped herself. Starting to get strong!

I feel ya on maximizing your yield ... were I to be tending your plants about the only LST I would consider on the plants in the pictures would be to pony tail them as carefully as possible ... this would be lifting the center leaves to allow light to the lower branch tips ... LST needs change from day to day ... here's a pic of a recent pony tail Fantasmo Express at 17 days ... should be plenty of examples available here at AFN because it's a popular and effective technique ...

You know, just trying to get as much as possible. Ive never done any form of lst before, so this is all a first.
So if i pony tail them, is the main objective to get the side branches to be the same height as the centre growth? So it will create an even canopy? Will this not stop the centre growth?
Also, do i leave them tied up indeffinately or take the tie of when the lower branches catch up?
I think i may try this on a few of them. Some of my lower braches are already the same height as the centre growth.
Il post some more pics soon.
Thanks man
