Indoor GSC & Pineapple express Fast buds

While you're shaking your nutes remember that's it's a good idea to give the foliage a shake now and then too ... I have a grow going that at 6 weeks both plants are about a foot shorter than I expected ... but they are healthy ... I still expect my plants to provide a good harvest ... my size expectations may have been a little off ... your plants look to be in good health and not stunted ... I would definitely up the Grow nutes a little ... what will you be using for bloom nutes ?
:pass:

Thanks man.
Hopefully they will start stretching soon.
I havent got any Calmag, il have get some. Im using biobizz range. Ive only been giving grow and root stim at the moment. only on 2ml each. Maybe i should bump it up to 4ml. Il do that on their next feed.

Based on age, height at the moment I doubt there will be much stretch, but you never know.
I have only had one plant fail in the last two years and that was a fast buds gsc, one got shot, the other one almost got pulled about ten times and was considered by myself as a total waste, but after about 50 days it suddenly perked up and ended up being my oldest plant, easily 100 days and yielded 102g. Not amazing, but really did shock me for such a shitty looking plant at the start.

Don't worry, they look healthy, so as already mentioned maybe just the seeds and nothing to do with your growing skills.
The potential is still there to get a decent harvest, just keep on going with the schedule,
good luck.

Okay cool, will do.
Il just keep it up and look forward to the end product. Either way gonna get a tasty harvest.
Just watered them tonight and upped their feed to 4ml a litre for grow. I havent started on the flower nutes yet. Il be using Biobizz bloom and topmax. Was gonna start them next week. Should i start now?

Ah man! Just realised my northern express has hermied at about 3 weeks. Gonna have to get rid of her/him. Don't want to really, but don't want to risk my other girls. Gonna plant another PE in her/his place, or Samsara ultraviolet, haven't really seen much info on that strain though, it was a freebie same as the NE. Hopefully this one gets bigger than the others. They are only about a foot and a half big. Looking at hopefully an oz a plant! Bit depressing really, but I can't just rip em up and start again. Gonna ride this one out and just go again. Would it be okay to use the same soil the NE was in for my new babay?

I reuse my soil for most grows ... if it's only one or two male organs w/ female organs also I just remove the male parts and keep an eye on it ...

Okay cool, good to know. il just reuse the soil.
I started pulling them off, but i then noticed a bunch of them on a lower branch then another. Must be about 10-20 balls on there. Also i saw a few nanas sticking out of a few calyxs. Once i saw the nanas sticking out i thought i better cut my losses. Still havnt took it out of the soil yet, i just removed it from the tent. So i could change my mind haha, but it is a risk. Just breaks my heart to kill it. Havent brought myself to do it yet.
When i eventually do, i think im gonna plant another PE and see if it gets bigger than the others. I just measured theit height and most are only a foot tall, with one of them just making it to a foot and a half.
I cant work out where i went wrong. Its either the seeds as they are all fast bud seeds or the only thing i can think of, is i either didnt feed them enough early on. Although, without food they should still stretch. Or there isnt enough air getting to the roots as im using buckets. Thinking it might be not enough oxygen getting to the roots, im just about to order some smart pots (fabric pots) for the next lot i do.
5 Gallons should suffice? im currently using 3.5 Gallons. Thought i should up it.
Still got at least a month to go yet though. Just depressing that they are so small! And now one has hermied!

I wouldn't change your pots as long as you've got plenty of drain holes but I might suggest some perlite next time ... the looser the soil the faster the roots grow and the faster the top grows ... but as healthy as your plants look I don't think a lack of perlite slowed their growth ... plants sometimes don't grow as big as expected ... as long as they are healthy you'll do fine at harvest time ... have they been getting their Calmag ?

I bought several air pot bottoms on Ebay and cut the bottoms out of my plastic pots and glued the air pot bottoms in them ...

I have got several large drainage holes at the bottom of my pots. And my soil has a mix of 40% perlite 60% organic soil.
Plants are still looking really healthy, just small. Bit of a bummer. Like i said about a ft tall. They are starting to bud nicely now though. Especially the PEs, they will deffinately finish first. Might even finish on the 60-70 day mark. The PE are just starting to show light THC production on the leaves and have a faint fruity sweet smell. Smells lovely though. The GSC look about a week behind in flowering. but are just starting to form some nice buds. Hopefully the buds get quite large, so i get a decent enough yield. I want the branches to be falling over haha. Il post some pics of the budding when i can.
I havent been using any calmag, but i just ordered some, so its on the way. Only thing is, i couldnt find any organic calmag in the UK. Will be the only part not organic.

Also, would it be okay to train some of the girls even though they are flowering? Just so i can get some more light to the lower branches as some are quite bushy.

For the next time round, i was thinking of doing 5, maybe 6 Autos and 2 Photos. 5/6 autos under one 600watt and 2 photos under another 600watt. When the autos finish switch over to 12/12 for the photos and hopefully get some quite large photos. So il be smoking on the autos while waiting for the photos to finish in 8-10 weeks. With about 8 weeks veg for the photos, they will be trees :D

I often use LST up to the day of harvest ... as long as you're gentle it's never too late to LST ... your schedule for your next grow sounds good ...

When I do a grow I aim to maximize yield through healthy plants ... I pick genetics that can do what I want them to do and have at it ... sometimes they don't grow as big as expected ... when that happens and they are healthy but not stunted it's probably caused by a number of minor issues, each reducing size and yield slightly ... since your plants look so healthy I'd be inclined to think they are growing to their potential ... had you put them in shallow pots or some other obvious cause of shortness I'd point it out to you ... it's possible you got some short ones ... my current grow is undersized because of a series of mistakes that I should have known better than to make ... they don't look as good as they should because I was late increasing their calmag and a deficiency got ahead of me ... that's the fun of growing ... learn what to do and what not to do to get the maximum yield from your plants w/ as little stress to them and your self as possible ...

Happy Holidays ... :pass:
