Added 1 30k cmh and watered deep
  • Hey y'all.
    So last week Wednesday I added a another 30k CMH light. Now making it 3 30k 315 cmh lights. @ 945 w plus the 9 far red LED @ 16 w each 1089 w total . Covering an area of 5x8.
Fed Mother Earth bloom oh, a handful of worm castings, and a handful of raw dark brown sugar. Turned up the top of the soil in each pot and water deeply. Waterings are becoming a little closer together now. I'm watering about every 5 days.
The heat still running a little high at 79. So I lowered the thermostat to 65 and hopes to get the temperature down closer to 72.
Humidity is out of my control as usual in my grow. I'm not adding any humidity to this. Plants need a little suffering every once in a while now and then anyways. As this helps to grow a sweeter and richer fruit.

The flowering is looking spectacular. The buds are hard and dank right now and starting to fill out very nicely.
I adjusted some of the branches so they reach up inside the scrog net better. The scrog net holes are a little bit big for this grow as these buds won't get as big as they do outside and this net is a 5" x 5" for outside not inside.

13 hours smoked pork butt and a 3 hours smoked chicken over top of Mesquite and Hickory Oak mix smoke temperature held it about 265 the 300 right in there. Yum!

    Another update changed light's
  • Changed the CMH bulbs from the 30k bulbs to the 42k more blue UV bulbs. It's now week 5.
The plants are all showing good beautiful buds. Two of the MGs got a little bit of yellowing on their leaves and I believe that is due to me over-watering one day.
I turned the heat off. Which brought the temperature down to Upper 60s very low 70s. I noticed that they wasn't getting dehydration like they was before. Also they picked up a little. Powdery mildew sorry. WTF.:yoinks::naughtystep::condom:
It appeared with it within 48 hours of turning the heat off. So I wiped it off real quick on the only plant that I seen it on. it was an mg 25 and I turned the heat back on. So now the temperature is running back up near 80 to 83°f Which is still okay I just would prefer the temperature to be down lower at this time in the grow. But by bringing the heat back up I also brought the humidity back down.
So now We're running around 42% now. The dreaded p.m. was not there this morning. In fact all the plants look really well. I turned the heat back on 2 days ago. So I guess the heat will have to stay on until we get close to the end when I Turn on the high UV 10K bulb. The high UV will keep the powdery mildew back on all the surfaces that the UV rays shine upon.

    First 8 pics are MG-25

    Seedlings
  • Seedlings are starting up. Got quite a few of them that cracked popped open. I've lost about 4 due to whatever reason. Who the hell knows right. Two of them pop their heads off and two of them died before they ever got fully started to grow. But all is good most of the strains that I'm working with ar there. Only one Single Seed hasn't popped that will be a complete strain that will be lost. I do not have another seed to pop of that strain. It's still soaking though maybe it'll come through. Been soaking for 3 days. So I guess time will tell I'll let it go for a few more days.

I was going to take clones. But I didn't like the way the plants weren't straight enough. So a couple more days and they'll be straighter no big hurry.

    Almost ready.
  • Been a minute I know.
Sorry for my absence I've been lazy. :coffee2:

So we are at the end of week 7 tomorrow.:eyebrows:

Colors is popping out on them. The blue full-spectrum 41k bulbs.
I think doing what others have said they will do. There is more trichomes. I believe so cuz they sure do look Frosty and there's lots of that's good grease growing on them. :hump:

Practicing a little high stress training on them. I usually never let my plants get yellowish drying them way out. The leaves start to fall off. Drying them out until the leaves start dropping I rarely ever do that.
but I have been doing some reading and watching some videos about these Growers that have been growing for a 30-40 plus years and looking at some of their techniques growing in high altitudes low oxygen dry conditions and they just let the plant get beat up.
So it's not about getting big yields out of these plants. It's more about getting the best bud possible.. Hard greasy sweet full of all that yummy flavor stuff that you like in your weed. And do it all organic.
So these techniques come from wine growing Vineyards. These guys up in the California mountains have been growing like this for years. Growing their weed.
I've been following this guy's growing style growing on the same Mountain for 30 years.
The weed growing on the West Side of the Mountain so all the wind from the Pacific rolls up onto this mountain and dries it out the air and plant life. He says he hardly ever Waters. Plants look terrible not very tall not real real big but yet good-sized. Leaves all curled up dried out yellow brown.. but the buds. The buds they look like a kids fist in size. Buds are Just hard as a rock greasy as hell. Really top-notch looking bud.

So what I've done to replicate that kind of growing environment. Has been to keep the heat on, as I had the problem with the PM earlier so kept the heat on. Heat been running around 77 to 83° right in their most everyday. The humidity running around 27% almost everyday. It raises up a little bit at night but after the lights come on a couple hours goes back down around 27% from 32%. When I water the humidity goes up a little bit to around 45 to 55%.
Then a few hour's later starts dropping.

The mg-25 is starting to look very nice I'm really digging these buds. They're super greasy I touched a couple of them are very dank and hard feeling they're filling out nicely. They're all about the size of average size coffee cup. And the smallest ones are about the size of a big thumb and they're super dank. And greasy as hell. I already know the smoke is good smoke it's got a fruity bouquet and it's excellent Buzz.

The headband they're looking good. They aren't stressing out as much as what the the mg's are. The headband is liking the conditions more so.
The buds are looking good not as greasy looking as the M.G.'s.
I know the smoke is good and the buds are looking well enough. I hope to see more grease on them. I think they're going to be a little bit longer to harvest than what the mg's are as they don't look like they're as developed or mature as what the mg's are.

The buds are super hard ... All of them you could bounce them off the floor and play quarter bounce. They are freaking rock hard. This may be the hardest buds I've ever grown ever
