    Northern land
  • Was up to the northern land yesterday. The plants there haven't had much change as far as size go. They just seem to be doing their thing..they're all in bud and flowering nicely. The black sugar, chocolate mint OG, Jamaican dream, Sensi star one all have nice button buds forming on them. The chocolate mint OG has a very nice aroma strong candy like smell.

How to the farm this week.
  • I was out to the farm trimming for the last 4 days. Pre Bud trimming.
I skin the girls pretty good.
I was out there from Saturday until today totaling 23 hours of trimming.
It was hot as hell and muggy. I felt like a wet sponge most of the time.
I zip tie an umbrella on a pitchfork and use that for my shade tree while I trimmed the girls up. It worked well.

    A little bit overgrown.
  • The yard girl and the cage girls. Are getting a little bit big for their spaces.

I've got quite a bit of trimming to do I'm not going to hit them as hard as I hit the farmer's crop.. Nope he wanted them that way and I don't particularly like his growing style although it's pretty good style. I'm not going to skin them that deep. I will gut them though if there's any small bud sites that I don't like. The Fire og kush HB S2 has a lot of stringy branches. I'll be looking through those really closely and eliminating ones that I don't like.

Pictures before I work on them

It's raining at the Northern land. Looks to be a nice gentle rain.

Another day goes by that I don't have to go up and water. Yay !
Gas is so dam much now. :grump:
It cost $90 bucks to go up and back in the f250 4x4 with the 7.5.
The last time I took the f150 with the inline 300 - 6 cylinder it was $62. Ugh.
    Thanks

    Full cage
  • The cage grow is full I don't think I've ever let it get this full before. Not since I've been growing. I think I've been stretched a little thin this year and a bit on the lazy side. I've been going to go out and trim for 4 days now...and still have not done it yet. Just been getting high and higher and higher :hump: :smokeout::baked: everybody's been stopping by recently and we've been just chief-fing:jointman:

We had rain 2 days ago. It rain pretty good, I probably got about 36 or so gallons of rain water. Could use another additional 100 or so gallons to top off my IBC Tote. I don't have a great rain collection system this year. I took a bunch of a 55 gallon barrels to the North country to have water there in case I needed emergency water. My reservoir here at the central Michigan Farm is down to only about 300 gallons capacity.

The yard girl's early in the morning.

I call him white face. He is one of 4 Stray Cats we take care of. White faces is a rickety old cat. He mite live another couple years maybe. He was my neighbor's cat whom passed away 3 years ago this Thanksgiving. The people who gutted the house through old white face out. I've been taking care of him pretty much ever since. When I seen him one night wandering around in the snow and was skinny as a rail and about 1 notch from death. I opened up my front porch to him and one other cat that we call skeezix. And they have enjoyed being alive and taking care of.
Poor old white face got attacked by a dog on the 4th of July this year. Whiteface likes the layout in the ferns along side the house on those hot summer days and nap. What he does best. :smiley1:What cat or dog don't love to lay in the shade.
Then a stray dog came on over and grab his ass up from his restful nap.... How rude... and then shook him around pretty good. luckily the owner of the dog was right on it. apparently it had escaped. She pulled poor old white face out of his mouth or it mite have been all over for poor old white face.
    Screenshot_20210830-094740_(1).png

Old white face lives. He's got a little bit of a crook in his step now but he still gets along. He comes and hangs out with me when I'm trimming weed working on a car or something or just sitting outside as long as long as my dog Tyson isn't out there...old white faces is hanging out with me.

Sucker leaf trimming 3 weeks into flower
  • Got off my ass and did a little trimming
Fire OG Kush mother plant from the seed. Took me about 4 hour's to trimm and remanipulate.
Got her pulled back down from 8' ft at her highest point, to a more reasonable height of about 6'5".
So not to be seen from the street to easily.
Took most all the largest sucker leaf's off and first and second Bud sites on almost every branch, except for the first 4 or 5 node from the top of each branch. As well as any bud sites that looked useless or small and not a producer at this stage.

Crappy little branches and bud sites. Most will be cut.

24 hour's later ... Looking good. A lot was taken off the fire mother. But the fire og kush hb s2 is a different genetics all together . Its leaves are fewer more sativa like 7 fingered the branches are much stronger and more resilient don't break as easy can actually take a load . The bug sites look good there pretty far apart it's got a nice little buttons on it but not much smell on either one of these girls .?? But that's not unusual I suppose it's still early it's just funny though how some plants will smell earlier than other's.

    Northern land is full flowering
  • Was up to the northern land yesterday spent the day there.
    Northern land_live_1630763493822.jpg
Gave the plants all 12 gallons of water. I'll go back up in a few more days to water again. I got to do something different then what I did this year. I'm not going to grow all the strains that I grew this year up there. Some of them will take too long to harvest.

Wedding cake is just got itty bitty buds on it. It will take the longest to mature.
    20210903_125451_HDR.jpg

The Jamaican dream lost another branch.. :doh:it was supposed to be the fastest flowering of the bunch. it's not doing too bad but it's certainly not what I was expecting to see.
    20210903_125521_HDR.jpg

The Fire OG Kush may not be a good one for this climate.
    20210903_125414.jpg

The strawberry Sour Diesel not so good for this climate either it don't look like.
    20210903_125553.jpg

The Zkittles don't look too bad. It might be a good one to rerun up here with a different setup.
    20210903_125727.jpg

Sage and sour did pretty good and looking well I'm somewhat happy with it. It'll be better next year. it's definitely a contender for the up-and-coming spring grow.
    20210903_125432.jpg

The Wi-Fi not bad but I'm not impressed with it so much for this climate.
    20210903_125331.jpg

    The purple punch probably not.
    20210903_125706_HDR.jpg

The black sugars I don't care for them up here neither. Maybe with a different set up they might do better but I'm uncertain.

Sensi star number 2 I don't think so.

    20210903_125543.jpg

So now we're down to the number one that has did best so far...:woohoo1::clapper::yay:
The Chocolate Mint OG is off the chain with a better setup I can grow it big up here. It looks like it's going to be a really good one.:eyebrows: it's almost ready to harvest another week or so and it'll be gold.
