Outdoor Growtogrow.. Michigan Unlimited multi strain organic grow

Mind blown beautiful plants, love the last pic with the wire stopping the digging. Last chickens I grew for meat were turkens a strange ugly half feathered bird some good eating though :pass:
Nice
I got this from my neighbor.
My neighbor... So here in town we are allowed to have 5 hen chickens per city ordinance. But He runs 40 of a chickens called (cornish hen cross And he grows them for his dogs and his family to eat.

He Slaughter every 6 to 7 weeks.
Where these chickens you might think would be small. But no..this cornish hen cross packs on wait anywhere between 5 to 7 pounds in that time. He says they eat constantly.

So with the avian flu that's going on everywhere. Killing off commercial chicken stocks by the Millions. I think it's pretty good time to go ahead and do this. As we eat eggs and the dog eats about 30 lb of chicken a month.
Right now we buy chicken in the 10 lb bag of leg quarters at Walmart that run around $5.80 to 7.30 for the 10 lbs.
I'm going to try running 12 of the Cornish hen crosses at first and 2 laying hens for egg's. See how that works out here in the city. Lol
The neighbor He lives right across the street from me. He runs 40 chickens every other month and I never hear them ever, but one time last year I was out trimming late at night. And every once in a bit I could hear a chicken cackling for lack of a better word being strangled or its neck being rang. That's it. Otherwise I'd never known he had chickens.:pass:

Transplanted seedlings
24 hours later looks like we have success. Keeping my fingers crossed it's still the honeymoon. But I believe all is well.

Chickens are great protein source. Especially for small plots and the Old........easy to care for(take care of themselves if they can "free range"). They are light in weight and easy to process. Before we moved to Alaska 28 yrs ago, we lived in the mountains of Montana and had a great flock of Bantams, Banties. Free range every day, put them up at night with grain. Otherwise they roost in trees, and good luck finding eggs. Every so often a hen would come out of the weeds with a brood. I'd turn em into the garden near the end of the grow season. Killer clean-up crew.

Okay so this grow. For lack of a better word was grown in

....................( Reverse )......................

from the norm of most grower.
In the beginning stages of a growth 99% of growers who grow indoors using artificial lights will use a higher UV bulb or LEDs from seedling to the first week or 2 of flower.
At this point 99% of growers will then switch from the higher UV bulb or LED to a more Red Spectrum 30k, 31k or maybe a little more closer to 38k to simulate a more fall spectrum of the Sun...
