Outdoor Growtogrow.. Michigan Unlimited multi strain organic grow

Cage n yard girl's
  • Well I finally got the 2022 outside grow up and running.
Doing things a little differently this year again.
The cage grow has 4 girls in it this year.
I'm growing in fiber pots this year in the yard grow with 8 girls in Fiber pots ranging in size from 15 to 65 gallons with a blend of diy organic soil fortified with organic dry amendments and composted cow manure.
Most of the girls are mother plants that I've took clones off this year. Many of them are from seed some are clone mothers also.
I will be practicing a lot of manipulation techniques on these girl's. I was thinking about getting kind of creative this year. Sensor mother plants and their are usually cut right now I'll have to be creative anyways to make them work right. Especially the mg-25 it's very viney, it must have a lot of cheese in its lineage.?

5 gallons of water to everybody today
  • All the girls got 5 gallons of rain water today.
The cage girls last week each Got 5 gallons of water except for the unknown.
The Fire OG Kush in the 65 gallon pot got 5 gallons of water last week as well and a dose of cow manure on the top that I ground in this morning when I watered.
I have some extra composted cow manure 1 bag that I'm going to start giving to these girls that are all in the fiber pots in the yard and then I'll be covering the tops of the pots with brown paper perforated and then wood chips over top of that.
Also thinking about draping a white plastic bag on the sides of the pot to slow evaporation down.
    If. ?
I don't expect this to be a very rainy summer. It's just my gut. Temperatures are kind of cool right now actually. Temps running about average daily 77° with a decent humidity. But actually this time of year usually were a little bit hotter. so I'm kind of glad that we aren't drying out too fast. But I'm preparing for it:hump:July is coming.
I'm thinking I'm going to go up North and grab my barrels from up there and bring them back down here so I can stockpile water the next time it rains.
To avoid a big City water bill:help::drunks:

    A little bit of rain
  • It didn't rain very much got about 10 gallons of water between both of my collection systems. Going to add a third today. Then I can capture water up both sides of my house and my garage. I also installed and made operational the watering system for all of the yard girls. No more lugging water yay. I still have to run some hoses for the cage girls and they'll be on the system as well.

Did some trimming over the last six or seven days. LST and Topping also.

Headband a in the deck hole got nothing but water. She is not getting a lot of light in her position. So she's growing pretty slow. But she's about to reach the light in a few days and maybe she'll start to take off more.
    20220627_180235_HDR.jpg

Wedding cake in the 15 gallon pot didn't get any work neither but she will in a day or two she starting to really grow now
    20220627_180223_HDR.jpg
silver haze is taking off she's starting to really come into her own I tied her down topped her and thinned her out well
    20220627_180216_HDR.jpg
super Citrus Haze she's growing a little sideways I'm letting her do her own thing kinda I thinned her out a little bit but she's growing a little bit slow for whatever reason.
    20220627_180209_HDR.jpg
purple wookie she's doing great the stocks are a little Woody on this strain but it should have some really strong branches for some heavy buds .
    20220627_180202.jpg
the industrial plant is really starting to Boom now . She's taking off
    20220627_180156.jpg
the Fire OG Kush it never ever has disappointed me . That's why I put her in a 65 gallon pot because I knew she would be a a star
    20220627_180148.jpg
skunk hero she's doing pretty well I used the little yellow stem Bender do hickeys at Jean gave me with the seeds and they work okay but they definitely need to be tied down some more. Because I'm going to be moving this plant more I can't tie it down exactly the way I want to right now. It's kind of in it's semi permanent position but not yet.
    20220627_180135.jpg
well I got the order screwed up on the cage girls this is the mg25 after her trimming she's going to be a big girl I put a cage around them to make it a little bit easier on me I don't want to work so hard this year
    20220627_180121_HDR.jpg
gorilla zkittlez she's really starting to take off to I expect her to be a big ass plant . With bootylicious buds
    20220627_180107_HDR.jpg
Wedding cake another plant that should be pretty damn big
    20220627_180055_HDR.jpg
headband B and headband A. A lot of trimming went into these girls. There was a lot of trimming on the mg-25...a lot of little bitty tiny microscopic branches everywhere on all 3 of these girls...
    20220627_180046_HDR.jpg

I'll post some more pics here in a couple days after they've sprung back from their trimming and such I'll probably trim again in a little bit because they are throwing a lot of growth out.:headbang::pass::vibes:

    Another week
  • We got some rain last night. And about 3 or 4 days ago we got rain again. So my water tanks are topped off now. And this summer seems to be right now about an average good summer so far. All the girls are growing well they will get trimmed and manipulated this week. Some of the yard girls got clones taken off them today.

. Pics are before I took the Clones off and trimming...

The silver haze has something going on that's not normal for this strain. Seems to have pre-flower going on it started early last week I noticed it . A couple weeks ago I also noticed that the leaves don't look normal for this strain either . It is a seed S1 from 2016 . And it may be exhibiting mixed traits another trait more the mother more of the father I don't know who knows ? I just hope it comes out to be decent weed and I don't have to chop it and waste my time . Ugh

I like them a lot. they work really well. And have gave me some good ideas of how I can use them. So I ordered a hundred of them yesterday they'll be here tomorrow. I actually can't wait to use them. It'll take a lot of the tedious out of what I like to do. And that's manipulate my plants. Possibly maybe I might be able to get some artistic plants yet this year.. as this year I intend not to grow any huge plants.

    Aaaaa sorry....

I'm over that. Now I'm leaning towards creating the best plants possible that I think I can grow organically with manipulation techniques to make them better is my goal...

    Morning after trimming.
  • Less than 13 hours after trimming and all the girls have sprung back who got their leaves cut. I cut off all the small stems as well just everything that was insignificant. Stuff that would never amount to anything when it come to harvest time.

Still working on the girls in the cage. Got a lot of work to do.
I go out to the farmer's house in the morning tomorrow and work on his crop it's going to be 93° the weatherman says? Whatever. so I'll be going to be out there at 6 in the morning to 10. And then come back again on Friday and do another four hours hopefully I can get it all done in 8. I don't know though he's got a lot going on out there. His plants are probably twice the size of most of mine. Like I said in a earlier post I'm not growing for yield this year I'm going for quality AAA Bud. :pass:

    Trimming
  • Trimming and manipulating all the girls. Put cages around the girls in the cage, this week I'll probably be putting cages around some of the girls in the yard. At the very least maybe supporting them with some bamboo and ties.

    20220724_103353.jpg

Wedding cake in the 15 gallon fiber pot. This plant's getting ready to come inside she's going to be a mother. Sunlight is coming down and will soon be at 14 hours and a half a day by the 31st. At that point it'll start triggering so I have to start taking clones and bringing plants and then I'm going to keep in.
    20220724_103403.jpg

Silver Haze. This is no silver haze...
I don't know what's going on with this plant I have no idea? It is acting like an auto or semi-auto it smells like an auto it's got three finger leaves. I just don't know.

Fire OG Kush spectacular he's definitely going to be a winner this year. I'll probably take a clone off this just so I can run it inside see what it's all about. As I've never ran the Fire OG Kush inside only outside. Should be fun.

    Down on the farm
  • I went out to the farmer's house last week spent about 12 hours out there trimming. From 6:30 in the morning to about 10:30 11:00. It was hot as hell. But I trim his girl's all up to his specs. Which is quite the Shaving on these girls. I Also push them up through these cylinder type cages that he had made years ago for the outside grow. For the most part most of the girls were pretty flexible and I didn't have too much problem pushing the branches up through these cages.
But I did have one of them that gave me quite a bit of problems... I'm not sure why it was so brittle. As the other girl's that were sister clones all of the wedding cake. This one was just extra brittle for some reason. No matter the size of the branch it did not want to manipulate or bend very easily. I snapped three out of probably 12 branches... Ugh... This is not good for me to do cuz snapping branches on this particular plant did not heal up so well as other plants did. It's a curiosity? I don't understand why this plant is so brittle. I think that he gave this plant more of some type of mineral than the other plants??? I don't know? I just don't know?
He's only running wedding cake and sherb cake outside this year.. He doesn't have a large variety there's a couple other plants out there. 2 of the mg 25s or modified grape 25.
I've not had too much to do with this grow other than just trimming it. But normally I would have been out there more and been more involved with this grow but after being clunked in the head with a tree branch I really didn't do a lot with the grow this year.
I don't think he's doing all that well this year as what he did last year and the year before that was even better..??
So I think that he needs to rejuvenate the soil. He didn't do that last year as I told him to do so.???

You know you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink.
    ... Roger that....

Another thing he's done that I don't think is a good thing is he Doug a moat like around all the plants about 7 or 8 in deep and probably about 5 ft 6 ft across and then the plants like in a hill in the middle. So his reasoning for this was is that he thinks that the roots will go deeper to look for the nutrients cuz the water's Down Deeper. Sure maybe that would work if things were seed plants I told him. But because they're clones their Roots don't go that deep and that they're missing out on the nutrients that he's trying to give them. He didn't quite understand the concept of that. Again just right back to the old horse thing. I've explained that he's hard-headed and he comes around to my philosophy on his own he doesn't see it at first whatever it is what it is right. I just collect my money and go upon my way.:thumbsup::cheers::d5:

So anyways this is going to be a rundown of pictures before and after pics of his garden and my work.

    24 girl's Before trimming.
Note the ground around all the bottoms of the plants. He's watering with ground water, and that's fine but it's very cold. And of course we all know cold water doesn't do microbes any good. Has microbes are very sensitive to warm and cold and toxicities. They die very easily.
