Not sure what you mean by hooks? all hooks will hang the cable

Hi Evo I get where your coming from one of my other lights packed up so I Rang Grow Northern they recommended doing the Seedling stage on economy setting closer on 2 lights for one seedlig my partners memory is buggered afterlife 3 lots of chemo in ,4 years and he lost the wire that comes in the box although he won't believe it was there ,was some really. the best thing to do is thread some strong wire through the holes I would suggest putting four bits on through one in each hole then you can hang it at different angles easier as for trying a switch if your Warranty has finished

Hey folks, sorry to bother, I recently bought MS0006 and it has been pointed out to me that it would be ideal for my tiny 2x2 tent. However, I am having trouble with hanging it properly. (I'm sorry in advance if it's painfully obvious I haven't done it before!)
When I try to hang it from the upper bar using rope ratchets due to the fact that the ratchets take away like 10-15 cm even retracted to the max, and then the metal strings from the light take up another 20 or so cm - all of a sudden, the light is hanging in the middle of my tent! I would really need to get it up there to the max height but really have no idea how to go about it.. Is there a way to shorten those metal strings or a better way other than rope ratchets? Maybe using some of those steel S hooks? I know people hang it using a chain but I really don't know how to go about it and cannot find any good reference pictures.

Hey London, use some hooks to hang using the metal "strings", don't bother with your ratchets as you call them if you're short on height. I only have 150cm height so I don't bother either.
You can use anything to bring your plants up to the light (I use DVDs/CD's) doesn't really matter what.
Great choice on light, would be cool to see a journal if you have one.

londonpeach, I had the same problem so I punched a couple of holes into the top of my tent so I could get the ratchets up and out of the space. I don't hoist the light all the way up to the tent's ceiling as I am leaving room for the lights fans to ventilate the unit.
