Indoor Growing Scrog

Day 77 and both crops are in full flower!
A lot of work so far maintaining the canopies and getting them to where they are now but hopefully the payoff will be well worth it in the end. There was a period of time where I was plucking 500-700 leaves a day trying to keep the bud sites clear and I’m still continuing to remove leaves as the plants finish up their last phase of flower.
There are 3 plants in the 5x5’ scrog that are turning into beasts… the Autoseeds.Com Pink Runtz in the very middle has at least 50 strong colas starting to form and the Autoseeds.Com Acapulco Gold in the back right corner should mature into a heavyweight as long as I treat her right and keep up with the pruning. Wasn’t doing her justice by letting her grow in the back corner with very low par so I added a 100 watt Maxisun to hopefully help her grow to her full potential. The Fast Buds Gorilla Zkittlez could also be a heavyweight contender but not sure if I’m able to keep her pruned well enough to get the light penetration she’s going to need to fatten up the colas she has on her. Doesn’t help that both the Acapulco Gold and the Gorilla Zkittlez are right next to each other making it a pain in the ass to keep them well pruned. They both have over 60 main top sites that will turn into massive colas if I do my part right, but it’s extremely difficult getting in there to do the maintenance without brushing up against the delicate bud sites. Wanted to release the plants from the grid to be able to work on them easier but they are locked in there pretty good and I’m afraid of thrashing them while trying to remove them.
I’m considering only growing 6 plants in the next 5x5’ round as it’s very difficult to maintain and prune the 2 plants in the middle of the second and third row. I’m also going to run 4 or 5 of my 150 watt quantum boards to give me a better light spread since the big crown in the middle of my canopy is telling me the FCE-8000 isn’t giving the crop adequate light coverage for the method or style of growing I’m using. I know the $250 in quantum board lighting will perform much better and give me a better spread than the $650 bar light I’m currently running and also burn less wattage.
Sawney’s White Gen 3’s are all happy and healthy too. They are about a week apart in their flowering phase and the pheno on the left which is my favorite is just now going through her bulking period. Since the pheno on the right started to flower late I’m going to let them all continue growing for another 15-20 days to make sure they get enough flowering time to do their thing. Every square inch of this 4x2’ is being utilized and makes me think I should have only started with 2 plants from the beginning. The pheno on the right definitely could have used an extra foot to spread out and she did grow a little taller than I expected from running out of horizontal space. I’m burning an extra 100 watts underneath her for some under canopy lighting to keep the bottom growth healthy and to avoid any larf down below.

Banging bro!

Amazing canopy you have there :toke:
Are you supplementing light from below?
Thanks Bob! :headbang:
I am burning an extra 100 watts underneath the canopy in the 4x2’ tent to make sure the taller plant on the right doesn’t end up with any larf. Would like to run more under canopy lighting in both tents but can’t spare the extra juice at the moment.
Lol… that’s hilarious.
Would make canopy maintenance much easier.

Day 92 and these crops are basically done. I’ll start with harvesting the 3 White Gen 3’s in the 4x2’ tent then start working on cutting out the plants in the 5x5’. The plants in the 5x5’ are locked in place pretty well so I’ll most likely cut the individual branches away from the grid and keep everything separated. One nice thing about using 3” nylon net is that I’m able to cut the plants out of the tent and away from each other without much effort and also take self portraits of each.
Here are the last of the pre harvest pics before everything gets cut down.

Here are some of my new plants.

31 day old Autoseeds .Com Acapulco Golds

Planning on flattening them out in the next few days. The Acapulco Good tends to give me a little more veg and preflower time so I’m able to work the plants a bit more before pulling everything down.

45 day old Autoseeds.com Acapulco Gold

Just moved her out of a 27x27x65” tent and put her into a 32x32x65 tent. Beautiful plant… she has a 33” canopy with over 100 strong nodes that made it to the top.
