Indoor Growing Scrog

32 years of marriage is respectable Brother! Good for you! You obviously know the golden rule “happy wife, happy life”.
I didn’t know they even made a 420 watt FarmLite. A 15amp breaker should handle the load of both lights and more unless you have a bunch of other appliances plugged into it.
I see a lot of people running PVC for their fertigation but I prefer the flexibility of 1/2” irrigation hose and 1/4” feed line, both are pliable, easy to work with and you can attach multiple lines without a hassle. I also have the option to crimp them shut with a zip tie if I’m not using them and go from a 1 plant grow to a 9 plant grow without having to mess around with rerouting PVC connections and tubing.

Oh ok… I understand now.
Should be an interesting indoor grow with Big Mamas and Coco. I did some outdoor scrogging over the summer and had good success but the autos I scrogged indoors in a controlled environment turned out much better in my opinion. I did have a lot of fun with the outdoor and would like to give it another go next year.
Love your bonsais.

Yes, but you might as well just start your seedlings in your final container and avoid the risk of stunted growth or premature flowering.
There are many advantages to using Grodan 4x4” cubes… they don’t take up much space, they extend your veg/preflower time, no seedling burning, absolutely no chance of transplant shock and they boost my plants up 4” so I’m able to do what I do.

Stated from experience!
Thank you Brother! :d5:

Thank you Maestro for taking the time to spell out your pump and feed setup. I've been hoping for the details. It is simplicity simply simplified. Perfect.

agreed thank you but 1 more question(at least for now), should I try 1 pump for the whole tent or 1 per plant? I was thinking 2 pumps for redundancy connected to the 1/2 inch line(I got me some 1/2 inch irrigation line now).

Photone iPhone app + cosine diffuser. Inexpensive, accurate.
Yessir! Android also. Free from Play Store. Too few daily photons for their stage of development is like too few daily calories for us. Too many is burning them. Not good. Dials it in just right. The Diffuser is a simple gadget, $28, but makes it accurate. Cheaper than Bruce Bugbee's Apogee's pro instruments for hundreds of dollars. And much better than Amazon DLI silly ones. Real accuracy is essential. Fatten 'em up but not too much.

I think I've listened to every Bugbee interview, particularly those with Shane from Migro, on YouTube. Bugbee said that they have pushed PPFD for seedlings to the limit, regardless the usual suggestion of 300-400, and they have took it. I have my 3 day olds with tiny true leaves at 800 PPFD, 45 DLI and they are loving it. On the other hand, I am happy to not waste watt$ where unnecessary.

My plants usually just clock out (kinda go limp a bit)when they've received enough light..
Haven't had any light burn since the hps days..
Agree that ppfd saves watts more than avoids burning leaves!

You’re very welcome Brother! :d5:

I usually only run 1 pump per auto, but if I have an extra big plant sometimes I’ll plug another pump into the dual outlet timer as a backup.

Thanks Bro! 👍🏼
I should start checking PPFD and DLI so I’ll look into that.
Good to always be in that sweet spot.

I use the one called ppfd meter, but i dont use any filter product like the diffuser.

Still there is so much info on what is the sweet spot that it is hard to say whats right

can you tell a good light cycle when drip feeding and scrogging this style 24h lights on

like after
1 week of seeding
4th week veg
late veg
preflower when in scrog
start of flower
midflower
late flower

A diffuser is required with Photone, they explain on their site, and link to their suggested diffuser. It works great. Bruce Bugbee is a good resource on lighting and other things cannabis. He's a scientist at Utah State University. Many videos on YouTube. In one of his interviews he said they have learned that hemp is the "Michael Jordan" of light consumption. I have been pushing the standard light recommendations pretty hard, from sprout on, the plants seem to like it.

Got a little crowded in the 4x2' tent so l set up another one and split them up. I also spent some time running drip lines and hooked them all up to automated fertigation after I got them situated. Reservoirs are filled with reverse osmosis water and General Hydroponics FloraNova Grow, General Hydroponics Rapid Start, GH Armour SI, GH Floraliciois, Clonex Solution and Mycos. Nutrient strength is hovering around 650PPM (1.3EC) with the PH set at 6.0.
They look to me like they are a few days behind due to inconsistent environment but I’m crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. 🤞
