Indoor Growing Scrog

4 auto SOG combined dry weight 3124 grams or 6.97 pounds and zero larf.
Front left corner: ILGM Apple Fritter harvested 2/20/25 on day 105 (657g), back left corner South Side Genetics Chocolate Mint Jelly harvested 2/20/25 on day 100 (708g), back right corner Crystal Cavern Hulks Stash harvested 2/20/25 on day 105 (798g), front right corner South Side Genetics Chocolate Mint Jelly harvested 3/2/25 on day 108 (961g).
All 4 plants had The 420autoflower bent coat hanger method applied to them and also spread out with 3.5" netting but were never flattened out with the 420autoflower SCROG method. Would have easily been over a 10 pound crop if I gave them the 420 SCROG treatment but the 5x5" tent just wasn't big enough.

Hello everyone,

I'm Zuener, a new grower on this forum. I'm very excited to be here and to learn more about growing autoflowers on the 420autoflower method. I'm just starting out on my growing journey and am open to any tips and advice you all have to offer. I started today with the germination of the Dutch Passion OG Glueberry, ph set at 6.0 amd ppm at 350 temp is set at 28 degrees celsius with the spider farmer grow tent heater because the grow is in a cold basement in Germany. The light is a mars hydro 150 watt, nutrients solution is a combination of advanced nutrients sensi grow a and b, b52, voodoo juice, rhino skin, biobizz calmag, biobizz bioheaven. I look forward to exchanging experiences and being part of this great community.

Happy growing, cheers zuener

Yes, Brother! As you already know, Nova Max Grow is basically the US version of General Hydroponics FloraNova Grow. Great stuff! Only 1 bottle for veg (FloraNova Grow) and 1 bottle for flower (FloraNova Bloom). I run the FloraNova Grow religiously from seed to after preflower stretch and it guarantees me no deficiencies.
Do you run the FloraNova Micro too?

When I've run their nutes in bloom I use 1/2 tsp each grow and micro, and a tsp of bloom per gallon. This is in soil.

My biggest suggestion, Read this thread starting at page 1, and re-read before you start asking questions, they will most likely be answered already and everything is explained step by step. This is not a single method, but many expert methods combined . It requires an in depth knowledge of autoflowers and their responses to different techniques. Good luck, just remember, you probably wont get results like the master himself, or other experienced gangster growers, in the beginning. It takes alot of hard work, time, and patience to get to this level of growing. You would probably have more success just growing a plant out regular and trying to get it to the finish line, than trying basically the most advanced method of growing in the world for your first time. Somebody here explained it something like learning to run before learning to walk.

Hey Mongoose!
Try to tuck as much as possible and only selective defoliation at this stage. In a week you’ll have more of an established root system and you’ll be able to strip as much as you want with very little stress to the plant.
Good time to start bending the 2 main nodes over on the plant you accidentally topped if you haven’t already. 😉

Thanks 420, and DOA. I switched ( back ) to FloraNova Grow today. I don't love that it's as thick as molasses and twice as gritty,
and that checking pH with liquid method isn't really possible. But it is way more convenient to use. So I'll adjust. 🙂
I bent the two main nodes over right after I accidentally took her top off, and will follow the 'tuck before you pluck' advisory. 🙂

Appreciate the points @DOA, @Antonio_DutchPassion and @Cobstopper! :thanks:

Thank you Deano! Its a lot of work as you already know but I always do my best to sculpt eye catching canopies. I basically have all the weed I need and it’s more of artwork for me at this point.

Hello there!
Welcome to the club!
Looks like you got a good start already.
Might be a little difficult learning the method if you’re a new grower but you should get good results if you do your research and with the help of the nice peeps here. Might take me awhile to respond to questions but I do care and will always get back to you when I can.

Do you run the FloraNova Micro too?

When I've run their nutes in bloom I use 1/2 tsp each grow and micro, and a tsp of bloom per gallon. This is in soil.
You might be referring to General Hydroponics Trio series. The FloraNova is a single bottle N-P-K line that has everything in it making it easier to mix. FloraNova Grow for veg thru preflower and FloraNova Bloom from after stretch to harvest.
I never mix my nutrients based off of the manufactures instructions but I do strictly rely on what my EC pen tells me. I’m running R/O water with a beginning PPM of 10 so I base the amount of NPK and other additives I'm adding on what my pen tells me while coinciding with the stage of growth I’m in.

Very impressive Sensei!!!
Thank you Brother! 🙏🏼

Good Bro! 👍
I might be wrong but from what I remember I’m still able to check PH with a dropper kit when I mix the FloraNova Grow/Bloom, and also with the black colored poop smelling General Hydroponics Floralicious I supplement with. :rolleyes1:

420, I plan to target ECs for GH's FloraNova series at their 'Light Feed' schedule, but ignore the drop-offs at bloom, because their recommendations are for photoperiods. RO water. Are these targets pretty close to what you use? ...

I'm hung up on how many main branches I should attain during the staked down and early growth period. Most or all of which I'll later supercrop with pliers. Looking at the photos available here from page 1 on to today, and on reddit, and IG, after following 420autoflower Maestro for a year, I don't see ones that show this. Perhaps I'm missing something. Looking backward from later growth photos, I need to develop quite a few nodes for mains and close to the base. Bright blue light during early growth encourages this supposedly. I do see photos after extreme schwazzing much later on of mostly bare branches, some clearly bent, but need help with this early stage.
