Indoor Growing Scrog

FWIW ... For two plants: I bought two tiny pumps at amazon, $7 each, 3/8" tubing supplied. ( Lots of flow,
run them every 4 hrs for 10 mins. ) A Vivosun two-outlet timer, $16 ( plus the brain damage
incurred trying to program the darned thing -- hard to price 🙂 ), two reservoir tubs, $9 each, two
drainage trays, $2 each. Some simple drilling and hacksawing on the drainage trays
and reservoirs, and that's it. I'm already a fan because my first/current grow is at least
twice the physical size of my previous grows with DWC. Otherwise, all the same: strain, ingredients, etc.
Day 101 report to follow.

Day 101. Fastbuds Gorilla. ~20" diameter.
4" rockwool cube over a 6" cube, over half a 6" cube.
Auto fertigation with General Hydroponics 3-part nutes, 10 mins every 4 hours.
75 watts total for the two side/under canopy lights. 120 watts top light. 14 hrs on for all.
800-1,000 ppfd, 45-50 dli, all around.
EC 1.3 ( 650ppm ) pH 5.8-6.2 ( intentional drift )

Rookie guess: she's still 10-14 days away, maybe more? Dunno.
Her net wasn't useful anymore, removed it. Tied down some of the side
branches that were jammed up. Still might have to sacrifice
some of the thinner stems/buds in the center, they're very tight.

For me, the cost of media (the Grodan cubes) is yet another factor keeping me from adopting this grow method.

You can do the same thing in just coco this plant is in just a 3 gallon pot of coco.

OK, can use coco (presumably with good amount of perlite), but aren't there unique aspects and benefits using Rockwool cubes? For ex., don't the cubes conduct/wick water vertically (up/down) vs. in every or no particular directlon?

Rockwool is its own beast! It does not behave like soil or coco or hydroton, i really believe it is the only medium that can pull off the 420method with autos to its full potential! It seems to add time to autos in each stage and prolong all the cycles for all that added weight !!
Edit: i have adapted many of his techniques to soil and photoperiod plants, but for the results like Sensei @420autoflower gets with autos, i truly believe rockwool is necessary.

Only 20% at most recently I've gone to no perlite straight coco IMO it is almost impossible to over water coco which isn't the case with rockwool
