As the title implies I have a grow room to build! I already have a bunch of repurposed lumber to get things going but have just been waiting on the electrician. I now have 8 total outlets and 40 AMPs at my disposal. The 2x10's in the picture are 3' and 6' in length and will be mounted to the wall with lag bolts straddling the down conduit, the idea is a room 8' long, 6' out from wall, and 8' high ceiling. Not going to guess when the room will be finished, but hopefully within a couple weeks I can set a tent up at least and work around it.

I did some more research and decided to try a deck first to isolate the tent floor from the concrete floor of the garage. I whipped this thing together in twenty minutes out of scraps and managed to only make one cut. The floor temp is now the same as ambient around 73F, and I only have turned on the veg switch on my 600 (276 actual) cheapo LED and one Mars Hydro 300 (126 actual) that runs full spectrum always. I have a second MH 300 to hang but need more ratchets first. Once I have soil I have some photoperiod Querkle bag seeds to sprout that I only am running to help create atmosphere before I start planting seeds I care about.

This was just an interim solution/test to see if it would be worth elevating the tent off the concrete floor for the winter, or buffering it somehow. I believe it worked well enough to skip the room build and just stick with tents.

What the hell, I'll go ahead and follow along too.

A thought about floors - you will spill stuff a lot so easy clean up and dryness are something to consider.

Think that’s it, tent coming and he does have electric and raised platform for tent!

I recently did a garage build as well sir. My advice is to go straight concrete. I thought my temps would be lower then they are and installed a piece of electric baseboard. It never comes on. I have 2" of building foam on the wall so just r-10ish. Running 600-700 watts of leds in a room 6ft by 6ft by 7ft and my temps are fairly out of control considering Im only running 50-60% capacity power wise. If you plan on doing AC then go right ahead but my thought was just to have a nice little sealed room with co2 and not have to deal with AC- I will be running a portable AC in the summer somehow and Im not too excited about it :( Take a look at my grow thread and you should get a good idea on my setup- feel free to PM me with any questions.

Thanks for the advice. If I go back to the room build I will keep it in mind. Here is what I just finished setting up. Just need soil and to sprout some seeds.
