Indoor GreenBean's Grows

Thanks for the info. I’m gonna try it with Walter. I don’t mind them drying a little faster personally. Fridge takes weeks. But the real benefit to the fridge is that when they’re ready, they look as fresh as when they went in. All trichomes etc are intact.

I've never tried. Maybe I'll find on old college dorm mini fridge and give it a try for shits and giggles.

Mendel is still drying in the fridge in the shop. This will be my second time trying the "Lotus" method. Pretty much my only option here this time of year. It's a good option if you are willing to try it. End results seem a lot "smoother" than drying. YMMV. It's a long dry though at usually 2+ weeks and you need to keep an eye on it at about the 2 week mark as it will drop from like 80RH to 60-ish, seemingly overnight at some point.
I’ve used the fridge on every grow. I just bought a small beverage fridge that goes up to 61*F & will be using it for the 2 plants finishing up right now. I also bought some very large desiccant packs to help with the humidity since the cooler is small. I hope to be able to dry in the 50* range to speed up the process.

I remember us talking about it before. Do you use bags in your cooler? Or just put everything on the racks? I’ve seen people do that too.

Mendel coming in for the trim. This strain looks to be an easy trim too. Should be a nice yield I think. I’ll toss them into grove bags and post weight in a couple weeks.

Man! That was an easy trim. When I grew it I knew it wouldn’t be too brutal. I HATE trimming by the way. I trimmed the entire plant by hand in about 30 minutes.

Into the grove bag at 63RH. Decided to weigh it for the hell of it. 12.5 oz even. I’ll do a final weight in a couple weeks. But not bad.

So, one thing I noticed and maybe @MotaZona can chime in on this. When you first pull the buds out of the fridge they will read a lower RH. Once they get up to room temp, the RH climbs. Just something I noticed in my case. I suppose it should be really obvious, but I'm a total dumbass. I was really low on the RH when I pulled them. And once they came up to room temp they got "normal" at about 64 RH. And they've stayed stable at that since putting them into the grove bags.

i am sure that has something to do with how they measure relative humidity.

That’s correct brother. I did the fridge dry once and it takes ages, and can be a pain. I had the same thing happen to me. Rh and temp are relative to each other, and the buds are wet inside. So as soon as that temperature of the buds go up, more water is evaporated/released from the buds. I used to use brown bags and so on because I always grow multiple autos and never had a good space to hang dry. Once I finished my last auto though I was able to hang dry her in good conditions for a slow ten day dry and won’t go back to other methods now
