Indoor GreenBean's Grows

I may have been way off on my days, but tomorrow is Lady Walters 90th day. She’s about donezo. You can see the foxtail starting

And the twenty20 Ogreberry at day 12. Got a good feeling about this one.

Gonna be 101F for the next few days. Summer growing is tough!

I had somehow never heard of drying in a fridge. I can get them pretty nice just in the grow room in brown paper bags. But I can get a good final push to especially the outside leave with 12 -24 in the fridge. It makes it easier for the timmer to work.

I've got a small grow of 2 GG autos that are about 2 weeks behind the OP and I'm in the same situation (maybe because we're about 100 miles apart?).

My grow is in a garage in SoCal but I can't get the AC unit to get the garage to 60° so I was going to read up on using a fridge. But "Lotus"? Can you shed some light on that GB?

Hey, lotus is just some term that somebody came up with for Fridge drying. Same thing.

One thing I will say is keep an eye on it. Once they get close to dry, they will start to dry out really fast. I was sorta close a few days ago and when I checked yesterday I was over dry.

I put the buds in paper grocery bags, and shake them up every day or two.

And yeah, it’s brutal in Southern California right now. Can’t remember the last time it’s been this hot so early in the year.

When you dry in your room in bags, do you have to worry about temps? My other concern is the smell. Anyone ever dried in bags in the tent while plants are growing?

I did see a DIY awhile back where someone used a tote with some rods in it and added some fans for intake/exhaust and kept that inside their tent to dry while others were running. They claimed it worked well for them so I'd imagine using bags would be similar?

I may try it. The only negative about drying in the garage fridge is that I tend to forget about it. Oh…and it will stink up your fridge too. Luckily it’s just beer and my seeds in there.

You get plenty of smell and they dry really slow. In summer 2-3 weeks. The bags actually slow things down. You can't really smell anything when you are in the room. I have a big 8-inch filter running. But when I leave the room my clothes are saturated. Temps should be kept low which works for me being a basement it is cold and the central air gets piped in right above the grow light. I never get higher than 76 down there.

I've bag dried in a running tent. It went fine but they did seam to cure a day or so early because the radiant heat of the light warms up the bag. If you can keep it shaded under your plants, it should be fine.

Thanks for the info. I’m gonna try it with Walter. I don’t mind them drying a little faster personally. Fridge takes weeks. But the real benefit to the fridge is that when they’re ready, they look as fresh as when they went in. All trichomes etc are intact.
