Indoor GreenBean's Grows

Walter looks like she's just waiting for the beat to drop to absolutely blow up
I know! She's been really slow for me - obviously. I have a buddy who is growing one at his place. I got him onto Floraflex too. We sprouted the same exact day. His is already about 2 weeks into full on flower = a normal plant. Mine is just sitting here waiting to eat the tent I guess? Kinda scared of her right now.

Day 55 for the Mephisto Walter White. I had to switch her to B nutes. She’s like a swirling tornado. Her branches are stiff in the middle. Opened her up as best I could on the outer edge of the pot. I need something to move up otherwise I’ll have to get western with it.

Day 57/47

Lady Walter - Day 47 - I had to remove a LOT of leaves from Walter White last night and today. Some of the inner fans in that bush were putting out 6-7" long stems searching for light. No bueno. And some of them were wilting and dying in there. A lot of energy wasted there. Gotta do what you gotta do!

Anyway, she's looking much better. And I tried to take as few leaves as possible to see where she was heading before I did anything more major. But she just wants to go out and in. Not so much up. You can see by the before and afters below, she is not hurting for foliage.

Mendel Pina Day 57:

She's moving right along. No issues. Quick too. I dunno if she'll go 90.

I would personally take more off. She has plenty to spare and looking healthy enough that she could go the distance no matter what at this point.
I will over time. I usually take some give it a little time, take some more. I like to see how the branches and buds form. Very strange plant for me, this one. The thing that isn't clear in the photos, and it's been hard to explain is how short and stubby the branches have been. It has literally wanted to just stay a bush. If I clear out too much, there's not a lot left. I'm hoping for more stretch then I can get a better picture. But she is sloooooowww AF.

Day 57... I don't know if you're going to get much more out of her. I bet those branches are going to be just straight bud though. I would be thinking about air flow later on. Looking forward to seeing her fill out.

Yeah airflow is always a consideration. I've got my floor fans ready to go. But I'm keeping everything moving. You can't see the Lil Blizzard overhead oscillating down into the canopy.

But you're likely right. She may not give much more stretch. Which bums me, but oh well. The only consolation is that she might, because she is moving SO slow. Seriously, it's like growing a photo. She will likely go 100+ days. She's giving me memories of Sherb.

I lost a few steps with the move, and Willy passing understandably. But it's coming back to me. Lesson there is that it is like a bike, but you can't just jump right back on and do a 100 mile ride.

One thing I should've mentioned is that it's hard to tell by the photos so far. But she's pretty well lollipopped already. So now it's a waiting game of seeing how much more to take off.

I'll definitely be growing her again after the next run. I probably should have let her get a little bigger before the topping. I won't let this strain beat me.

She’s looking awesome bro. As @DDubs said, i wouldn’t be shy about opening her up defoliation wise. This is your best bet at avoiding mold. I had mold destroy two plants that I defoliated but wish I had defoliated more. Now I’m absolutely strict with defoliating since then. I like to open her up real good in preflower or just before it that way she gets a big boost of light and airflow for developing strong branches, then just consistently take off leaves that get in the way. With a less defoliated plant I noticed I get a lot of uneven buds maturity wise because the ones being covered get less light :smoking:

First off, I'm a total dumbass. She's 48 days old and Mendel is 58 days. I was 10 days ahead on some of the previous posts. Anyway.

Yup, I like to defoliate as well. This one has been a little different as I like to defoliate a little early to get some plant definition. And then when I start training the canopy as they stretch, that's where I normally begin the heavier leaf removal. At that point, the plant is kinda showing me what needs to be done. And I continue to pluck leaves here and there until harvest. This girl has been moving like an iceberg though.

Anyway, good news is that even since yesterday she has stretched more. She is almost as tall as Mendel now. So I will begin more defoliation and get some better structure and training going. It's a weird one, because she's 48 days old now and behaves like she's 28 days old. Or, at least sort of what I "expect" a plant to be like at around the 30 day mark. She literally stopped doing anything for a couple weeks + after she was topped. That has been hard for me to wrap my head around. Guess I shouldn't expect anything when it comes to the plants.

So there's all that. She's 48 days old, not 58. And she's at the stretch stage that I would normally see an auto at around day 30. She's well lollipopped beneath the canopy. So now that she's actually showing some stretch, I'll clean out more interiors.

Thanks for the input folks. Been feeling like I lost my mind. Maybe I did.

No Man U ain’t losing your mind those girls still look good and healthy! I’ve grown some plants moreso in soil that grew slow as hell. Ive had plants running over 3.5 months in soil  I also grew a purple haze on my first grow in soil and she remained tiny, airy buds. I thought it was just me but apparently that’s just her genetics to be small slow and airy. But man she smelled fruity and was nice daytime smoke. Some plants dont respond so well to topping either. Some do, and some just stall for a while. I’m sure you will produce some good buds from these brother. I’ve subbed anyway so will be watching your progress:bow:
