Indoor GreenBean's Grows

If you see me posting a lot lately, that means I'm avoiding busy work like updating my website. Brutal time for shirt sales right now, brutal. Brutal time coupled with busy work = me trying to avoid shit.

I broke my 3 week sobriety tonight. I wasn't doing it for any other reason than to clear my head. But then...my head got too cluttered by stress. So I had to free it earlier. Anyway.

Noticed my PH meter was off today by about .2 too low. Not the worst thing, at least I was still in range. But outside of my OCD range of 5.8-6.2. Luckily I ordered a replacement probe for it a few weeks ago and all is good. Seem to last 2 years for me. $20 for the replacement isn't bad I guess.

Mendel Day 42. Going good. Did some more lower canopy cleanup to set the stage for full on flower. Think I'm done with that for a bit. Left a couple lower straggler fruits because I think they have a chance. Canopy is still evening out. More stretching shall ensue. Glad I only have 2 plants in the 4x2. It's gonna get pretty BEEFY up in here.

The question that EVERYONE is asking. And by everyone I mean ME. WTF is Lady Walter up to? Day 32. Your guess is as good as mine. But I thinnnnk she's getting ready to go off like a fountain. I could be wrong? I do not care one bit about a fast harvest. But this girl has me scratching my head. She's a tease. She's showing that preflower and I'm thinking she's gonna start the sweet stretch. I think @olbobcat was right, if she goes off, she's gonna really go off. Until then, it's like watching paint dry. I'm cautiously optimistic though.

I'll do a little more detailed update later possibly. But Day 34 and Lady Walter White seems to finally be waking up. I feel like I've said that 100 times already. But seriously, I think she is. This time. She's going more vertical finally. And I can actually distinguish the separate branches now and see what is what, without pulling her out of the tent and putting her on a table to figure out. At 34 days, I can't remember exactly, but I think it's the longest veg in a 5 gallon I've had. And she's still got a ways to go. She's barely entering the pre-flower phase. She's like a little hulking beast.

I've got one like that currently. My second Knows Candy went about that long to get to that same point and she's massive now!

I feel like the same thing is about to happen. I've also got this weird hangup that the plants do better in a larger tent, past a certain point. For some reason I feel like a 4x2 stifles the plant growth vs a 4x4 + tent. Has anyone else noticed this? Almost like the plant can sense the available space. I know that may sound weird. But plants are WEIRD AF.

I think you are right that they don't grow the same. I also don't have as good of lighting in the 2 x 4 either. I have 2 AMR going right now and one was just like Walter. The other one was kicking its ass, but now it is the bigger plant with more bud sites. It looks like it is about 2 weeks behind the other in flower development. I have had this happen before as well.

It's gotta be the space and that they can sense it. Like they grow into it. Again, I know that sounds crazy AF. But I have more wattage per square foot in my 4x2 vs the 4x4. Same brand lights too. Same everything. Same brand tents. We'll see how this small run ends, but most likely, I'll put the 4x4 up in this space and put the 4x2 back into shorty mode in a closet for veg. Which means I have to buy another fan for the 4x4. Can't use the one I used to use. It's too damn loud for the house = $$$. Ugh.

ALRIGHT GODAMMIT. Day 34/44, and I'm HAF and drunk AF. Strawberry Nuggets is like Morphine, btw.

Mendel is going great. ZERO ISSUES. She's about 3 feet tall now. But something is bothering me about it. It's almost too automatic. It's a weird thing, and some people may love that. Personally, I like a little bit of a fight. Everything smells great. Everything is growing great. Im pushing her still at 4g of B1/2 per gallon and 1.75g of the Bulky B per gallon. Almost the formula for photos, and as usual, the autos take that high flower/ B nute dosage really well. The thing with the Mendel is that...there's no reaction to it. I suppose it may come later. But it's a very easy, I mean EASY grow.

And...fucking Walter. Day 34. But she's fun. Time to open her up a bit.

Bonus content! Walter got her trim shortly after that latest update. She is locked and loaded. Ready for bloom. Look at her flower sites. They are ready to rock.

I got pretty gassed last night. Feeling it today. Strawberry Nuggets is really a hardcore sedative for me. FYI - all buds eventually get the "Pint Glass" test. Helps me to gauge how they are progressing.

Day 46 for Mendel Pina Kaleidoscope, and Day 36 For Walter. I heard back from Mike at Atreum and he said I should go for it on adding the 4th bar and wiring harness to the 3 bar light in the 4x2. I just may do it. Just go for the gold.

Brother Mendel beginning her 2nd week of bloom nutes, I'm still running it at photo strength. My EC was 2.75 on this last batch of nutes. Not that crazy. I see a little blueing in her leaves. I'm going to feed her for this week again, at this strength = 4g each per gallon of water of B1 and B2, and 1.75 g per gallon of Bulky B. And then I may drop her down a little next week. I'm doing one of my "Let's see what happens!" on her to see how quickly the buds can bulk in the first 2 weeks. This is all fluid. I may decide to keep pushing. Just dunno if there is any benefit past a certain point. We shall see.

But she's looking really good. Her stems are getting a little woody now, so I'm gently widening the canopy slowly to get those smaller sites exposed. It gets easier to manipulate them when the fruits are fat and floppier. But at this stage gotta be gentle so nothing snaps.

Again, zero early LST on these girls. Just a topping when it was time.

Walter at day 36 and she finally appears to be putting out some pistils. But she's still gonna be on veg nutes for at least one more week, if not two. She really did freeze in time after her topping. First time I've ever seen it go down like that Seems to have zero affect on her. She's behaving perfectly normal now. Just like her lifecycle got extended by 2 weeks.

Anyway, I'm just opening her canopy up a little bit as she gets ready to stretch. Here's some photos:
