After a couple of rough starts I now have 2 hardy plants that are lucky to have survived the first couple of days because of the way I tried to germinate them. And I have 2 plants that I germinated correctly and haven't had an issue except for a deformed leaf on one. My biggest concern now is watering. How much and when? The coco the plants are in was very wet when I germinated the seeds and I have not been giving much water. Two ounces to the seedlings every other day twice now and 8 oz every other day to the 2 wk old. The bags seem to still have some weight to them and the surface is bone dry. Should I just keep doing what I'm doing or let the bags dry up some more before I start watering? I am growing with organic living soil amendments in coco with perlite. I am not adding any nutes to my water.

Day 7, the 1st photo shows an OGK that was germinated directly in a golf ball size pure coco core surrounded by living soil. Notice leaf tips. 2 and 3 were germinated straight into grow bags containing living soil without any type of buffer. The soil had been active for about 3 weeks before germination. Great color and no observable issues.

Day 18, this one was germinated in pure coco core and got off to a slow start. It is the only one of 5 to survive. She is doing well now.

@Smowkabowl Please get a 5000K CFL bulb to take pictures. Living Soil is very complex to maintain in a small container for very long. Yet perhaps we have different ideas of what Living Soil encompasses. This is a good general description of Living Soil. https://www.sare.org/Learning-Cente...rops-3rd-Edition/Text-Version/The-Living-Soil

Watering is a basic skill that must be mastered. You'd think is should be easy but just like learning to walk you crawl first and fall a few times. Then before you know it you do it without even thinking about it.
Imagine yourself as a growing tap root. What are you looking for? Water, Air, Support, Nutrients and more. It is in my nature to grow toward gravity so I will grow down as much as I can. Where ever I find WASN I will grow laterals to collect them. I can grow more than an inch a day in every direction. If I hit a spot that no longer provides WASN I will stop growing in that direction.

Day 21 and Day 10 . Everything looks good, good color, good growth. No signs of deficiencies or stress. Temps have been 79 to 84 F, RH 60 - 70%. VPD has been btwn 8.0 and 13.0. There was a slight scare this morning for SSOGK#1 when she was found on her side. She got top heavy and couldn't hold herself up. Gave her some support and she seems to be doing good.

Do you have fans blowing the plants around some? It strengthens them. You could also bump up the silicon to strengthen the stems and leaves. Most cannabis nutrient lines offer it in one of their products.
