... I'm not sure exactly what happened, maybe one of the guru's can figure how a whole field got wiped like that,... Can you explain exactly, keystroke for keystroke, what you did? Was anything highlighted when it happened? ....there is an auto-save feature that usually saves every few minutes to prevent this in most events, but not with a full delete which seems to have happened...
In any case, barking at "AFN" about it is placing the blame on the wrong party, we didn't make XenForo, it just runs on it like 1000's of other places.... But telling AFN "fuck you" is just plain trolling, which won't fly here, period....Have you read the Terms of Use? ..... If there's a glitch, likely one of the IT folks here can figure out what happened....

@Waira I was tagging people...… @pigskin..… then I backspaced, then the page changed to the last page visited. If you start typing a name with the @ symbol and misspell and do not right click your cursor on the letter you want to remove it will change pages and you will lose all your work. The only thing left were all the pictures. When I typed in "Fuck you AFN" and posted the pictures populated as Thumbnails when I originally had put them in full size

For starters I'm sorry you lost your big post, that's a bummer dude. Now that said, if you're on your desktop here, I need to point a few things out. In Microsoft Edge, hitting the Backspace key when you are not in an active text box will in fact bring you BACK one page. I've just tested this on sites that are not AFN, it's a feature of the browser. On Google Chrome and Edge, if you have a multi-button mouse (with thumb buttons for forward/backward,) those too in fact will bring you back ONE page in both Chrome & Edge.

Our site software saves drafts automatically and stores them for a short but reasonable length of time. A 2 hour post time is pretty epic, again I'm sorry you lost it but that's like writing a small novel. Thread creators should have thread rights to edit their own threads as well (if you don't see it, let me know,) so for future reference, you're able to edit/tweak most of your posts if you created the original thread. Losing a big post is a gamble you'd take on most forum software when you're entering information into a window like that for an extended period of time (and I'm quite familiar with other forum software; ) like others have suggested, long, extensive posts may be better typed out using a word processor.

I removed your multiple mentions of GD (seemed a bit trolling after the 3rd mention; ) again I do apologize you lost your content but I don't see how AFN or even the software is at fault under the circumstance. If you think other forums software is better, by all means you're free to use theirs but spamming their link is not necessary.

You've been offered apologies, solutions, and possible perspectives on what could have happened beyond "just blaming us." Hopefully one of those will satisfy you.

I was typing in a field, I use a laptop no mouse, it took about 2 hrs because I would work on it, do other things and come back and work on it some more, etc..... so I wasn't do anything unusual. The problem is the software! You should not lose all your work because you misspelled a word and used one of the MOST COMMON KETSTROKES in the history of the keyboard! SO FUCKING STUPID! SO and your "so for future reference" crap, you can't edit what's not there.

Must be frustrating having that happen in the middle of the first harvest, typing up a long update, all while dealing with that big tree in the middle of your driveway. Seems like something that’s bound to happen even on grow diaries if you are using the same browser.

I post updates from my iPhone. When I’m in the middle of a long update I hit the save icon once in a while, it looks like the old style 3.5” floppy right next to the camera button. Especially if I’m navigating back and forth in different tabs of the browser.

I’m looking forward to trying Fastbuds strains. I’ve got the GSC on the way. For my next grow (starting in about 6 weeks or so) I’m torn. Entirely too many seeds to choose from. But the fb GSC is one of the top contenders.

BTW, when I said I would do other things and come back, I meant I would get up and do other things, not other things on the internet, and then come back to the thread. My wife and I have 19 cats and a dog, so they demand much of our attention throughout the day, plus I was cleaning house and other multitasking things. I appreciate the concern and I'll calm down and probably post other grows but these moderators are starting to piss me off with their condescending remarks and censorship. The software sucks and they just don't want to admit it. You should not lose all your work because you use the most common keystroke on a keyboard except for the letter and number keys. Ridiculous.

Oh I’m so glad to hear you’ll probably be posting other grows! And like Son of Hobbes said, it seems to be a characteristic of the browser, and not anything to do with AFN or Xenforo.

I have become a seedaholic. I might just pick from a hat on my next grow. I’ll be looking at 4 plants at a time, all the same age, since they’ll be sharing the same top off reservoir. The top contenders are the GSC, Mephisto Ripley OG, DP Colorado cookies and/or blueberry, and Dinafem sour diesel.

I also have forgotten cookies and strawberry nugs I’m looking forward to. I’ve got Stone Dragon and citrus noir from autoflower portal set aside for when I’ve got some experience. And so many others, good grief!
