this sounds like a seriously powerfull light if at 5 feet away and running 20% and seedlings still not happy.have you another light they could sit under for a couple of weeks ?
:pighug:
No, It is powerful. I don't have a PAR meter. What can anyone tell me about Lumens or Foot Candle measurements and their relation to distance from canopy. I was just trying to keep plant or in this case the soil surface (since the are seedlings at an inch or so high) temps below 85 degrees.

I'll have to get a meter to see what the actual watts are but it is suppose to be btwn 650 and 675 true watts at full power. Not too much more than yours. Are you saying that you can't use your light at full intensity because your plants just stop growing?

Oh no they fully grew but it was affecting them negatively in other ways...I was giving them a lot of nutes at the time,it was in the 90s in hottest part of summer in the tent,a lot of variables,at one point...so I backed off and everything seems good...But for my 4x4 tent I don’t know if they even need it at full power at least in summer... This next grow I have to play with it again ya know?

More intensity more heat too...

Less can be more, especially at seedlings stage. They are tender babies, slowly dial up the intensity . You only need the veg spectrum right now. The ones that make it will be tough plants!

Glad you made it through the storm.

I think those girls might surprise you yet, I would give them a week at least to see.

Sent from my comfy chair.

Appreciate it Dude, we got lucky. Others are hurtin' real bad.
Yeah, I definitely got to take it real slow, if I'm lucky 2 will make it. I'll post some day 7 photos tomorrow evening if I got time.

I think the light intensity got it. Looks like it was doing good up until day 3.

That is called damping off; it is usually caused by too wet of conditions. There are various bacteria and/or fungi that can cause it.
