I've been a big fan of TaNgs IG and his grow diaries I've read all of them (before I knew about AFN)

I didn't want to follow his schedule just yet but his results....
Let me just clean this drool up...... incredible

thinking of keeping with bio tabs for Afew grows for simplicity and the fact that's what mephisto use has encouraged me more to run it for Afew. Just so much to take in. I'm not the brightest bulb in the tent lol just glad I've been off work for Afew weeks to get my head around it and spend some time with the babies.

iv considered doing the bio tabs myself they seem to work just aswell as the AN schedule . im sure hippy can vouch for them more than i can

Il have to have a chat with hippy see if he's got any tips, even the customer service is 10/10 I emailed asking about me at the start when soaking the soil and how I was unsure if I'd damaged my girls.. next day I had an email asking for pics.

So what region should it be for the different stages of a grow? How far should the probe be pushed into the soil? I've pushed it in and had different readings highest was just below 2 and just below 1 being the lowest.

I say you need to giver her a small drink. As Hippy said earlier a little drink everyday, you want the roots to spread out. I don't necessarily water everyday when they are this young, maybe every 2-3 days but once they are around 3 weeks everyday for sure.

Here's a tip - if you are new to growing pretty much anything in a 'pot', you need to work out what a 'dry' and 'wet' pot feel like weight wise. Fill a pot with compost - tamp it down feel it's weight and judge the semi/dry(usually) compost - then give the same pot a damn good water and again feel and handle the weight. Once you can do this as long as plants are happy who needs a meter? I've never used a soil probe for moisture - tho I do recommend something that measures relative air humidity just in case it gets a bit damp late flower (lots of cheap thermometer/hygrometer models).

I think some folk can get very over technical (especially for first timers) << and while Tangs grows are awesome I would personally not have the effort or space to achieve such results.... but that doesn't mean I can't be a self sufficient happy bunny.

@spilffScot cheers for the great info bro I will hopefully be able to judge just by lifting the pots but I'm just recovering from having my carpel tunnels done and it's the kind of the reason for starting my grow I'd got a couple of weeks off work. So thought I'd get my finger out,

I want it simple bro, few gadgets here and there but If the results are there with mine think I'm just going to keep running bio tabs and just try and keep bettering it myself and experiment with them.

The thought of being self sufficient just get's me all excited should be beneficial all round.

Morning gals and gyals,

That's the first week done roughly about 8/9 days in now. As some of you may have guessed I whittle about nonsense sometimes but thank you to all who have taken the time to read, comment or like and help me on this journey. Enjoy...

They seem quite content ive got a nice thick girl and then a thinner one,
Im currently watering around 50/100ml every day now, and misting the top soil. my water is untreated I use boiled water which I stand for 48hours.

I was paranoid about my babies over watering at the start but I've realised the tent lighting can play tricks on your eyes, what's everyone's thoughts?
