i can't wait to tell you about the Hubbabubba bro! i have a sample nugget from the branch that snapped off drying in a paper bag with the rest of the branch hanging up, hoping the paper bag bud will be ready for a Friday night tester. really excited! thanks for dropping in dude.
Medi mate
hope you are well!
she's gonna be white as winter in a few weeks with a little luck man. lovely strain mate, in all my years smoking i never came across a profile like this stuff, be interested to hear what you make of it some day.
thanks for popping in Archie
i'm muddling my way through but i'm not shy to admit appearances can be deceiving! grown out some nice looking plants but am yet to be rewarded with the quality i'm chasing...nowt to do with genetics etc, just a case of "got all the gear but no idea" really, but results are inching closer to satisfaction. i
think (hope/pray) HBSS has been grown well enough to tick the boxes. black ash and harsh smoke has plagued my harvests which is why i've switched up techniques, mediums, nutrients, schedules, monitoring/chasing numbers and all that good stuff.
i'm going to grow some top shelf bud if it frickin' kills me!! i feel confident though!
here's a HBSS nugget

is the cupboard still bare mate? i participated in seed-wetting-Wednesday, Skywalker having a soak. i have some Walter crosses to pop still but my little brain keeps demanding OG all the damn time - but Grapey Walter and White Chem are both awaiting their turn in the tent
honestly, i'm not sure! i have yet to try one of Mephisto's proper heavy indicas. they tend to grow shorter, tight nodes and wiiiiiiide fans...in my mind, quite the opposite to what you're used to in your space! the tight nodes and overlapping leaves might create concerns about airflow etc, and with summer coming up that's something to consider...personally i'm a madman who's running my tent at 70% RH currently even with those thick HBSS buds in there
and if you're craving that indica hit honestly Mephisto seem to be the masters of them.
all that said - i have seen several Strawberry Nuggets stretch and open themselves up and get rather tall. no matter what i try or (within reason) how close i put my cobs to seedlings i have not been able to avoid stretching, sometimes too much. the Double Grape wanted to grow in to the cob above her! my theory is the spectrum of my cobs, whilst sufficient, is not ideal for growing and vegging and the plants try and inch towards them to make up for the shortfall. so i'm interested to see how the shorter stocky indicas react to them and see if i can still get a bit of stretch out of 'em! hopefully the 4AM i just potted up will be a good test.
i'm sorry mate i shouldn't laugh, but that's exactly why i went with a tap adaptor instead
i picked that up at a local cheapy shop that sells loads of nik-naks, summer coming up it's full with gardening stuff. just had a google for "hosepipe tap adaptor" and found same style as mine of the 'bay for £3ish. there's also another style that fits over conventional kitchen taps and then clamps down - i tried one of these too and was not impressed.
so i managed to spill the 4AM again this morning during feeding time. trying my best to spoil this opportunity
so i delayed going to work for the greater good of potting her up, emergency style. definitely caught a couple of roots but she had some nice looking roots at the bottom of the solo cup so i think i might get away with it. will be reviewing how i deal with solo cups though...
