Zero of 10 seeds sprout

I don't doubt Mephisto has good seeds, that's why I bought from them to begin with. But I have been ghosted by them, no reply to 3 e-mails.

However, I had forgotten that the pack they sent me included 5 freebie seeds (Forum Stomper x Sour Crack), so I'm going to try 24 hr soak in room temp water, then direct to soil. I'm going to heat the tent a bit 25-26 C to help them pop. It would be real nice if at least 4 of them sprout and grow well for me!

Sometimes it takes time to return emails, once i caught them during some cannabis cup or other and it took about a wk and a half for a response. Also, you only need to soak until they sink when you tap on them, usually 3-4 hrs for newer seeds. 24hrs is the max recommended as far as ive heard, but everybody does it a little different. Using distilled water also gives me better results. Hope it helps. Good idea to warm the tent!

I use the eazyplug starter cubes, but I'm sure all starter plugs are the same. I soak the plugs in water with a bit of H2O2, then pop the bean in dry, no need to soak no need for paper towels because the environment inside the plug is already better than a paper towel, and it's better in the plug than soaking because the water can get in easier and it's doing the same thing.

Poke the seed down with a tooth pick with the pointy end of the seed down, hinge end facing the sky. Poke it down a bit below the surface and cover the hole with a crumb of plug.

Place the plugs in a Tupperware container with a sealed lid in a warm place, 24C to 28C. In the winder I use an aquarium heater in a bucket of water with a plate on top where the plugs sit.

The worst thing that can happen is that the seed pushes itself out of the plug instead of the root growing down in which case you just split the plug like a muffin and reposition the seedling.

I have 100% germ rate with mephisto over 2.5 years so unlikely it’s the seeds. I suggest just dropping them in a cup of tap water for 24 hours then straight to pot.
Even simpler (often the best option), just plant the seeds in freshly charged soil/media in their final pot in your tent. As in nature, let the light hitting the soil/medium warm the surface (and the seeds).

Or you can still sprout the seeds in paper towels and once the seed has sprouted (hold up to light) cut/tear off the section with the seed and plant that vertically in your soil/media, never bothering to open the towels (damaging rootlets).
