Mephisto Genetics Froot's Mephisto - Basically Jurassic Park

i'm full for this cycle matey but thanks for thinkin' of me :toke:

thanks bro, for a slow starter she'll be a nice girl i hope.

from my limited experience with Advanced Nutrients, Nitrogen is abundant and if you run any other additives than also contain N (ie CalMag), then you have to compensate by reducing the A (3-0-0), as much as up to 50% to the B. i don't know how right or wrong this is and if there's any balance i'm upsetting by running one part lower than the other but it seems to be working out okay for me - better than overloading with N anyway. but with all that - i still find them strong and can't ramp up feeds to the numbers i see others use so i dunno...with the latest round of Samsquanch and GWK, i'm introducing the nutes just a little earlier to see if i can get past this sensitivity. that said, if they were missing out on anything, they'd be quick to tell me with deficiencies right?

yes sir i have, but i think of her more as a practice run or a warm up. still produced some nice sparkly nuggets, smell was like fresh cut mangoes mixed in a bowl of bleach, taste was fruity solvent but my early results shouldn't be taken as representative of the strain, really. here's a little cola and a close up from my first Dbl Grape;

You're being very hard on yourself for that DG, looks like some very fine smoke. Bleach and mangoes sounds kinda great tbh.

As you can see I lolly popped her as I do with most strains as long as there healthy so I'm not wasting light and energy on popcorn that wont amount to nothing anyhow speak soon growbro

something I need to do more is remove the lower rubbish! thanks bro :bump:

It sounds absolutely delicious mate  here's how I'm getting on, the 7 small ones at the front are the SC I will do all of those, the biggest 5 at the back (11 days) are the SL that I germed 3 days before the tray to the right, Ill probably take the best 2 out of that tray so thats 7 SL and 7 SC. I germed the SC a week later so hopefully the harvest timing will be perfect.

Once I know how many of each I will get for the grow battles I will order some more to run alongside and hopefully I will then be growing perpetually as the finish time on the SL and SC should be around the 20th of May , which should if I am timing this all right be exactly the time when the new batch will need much more space :smoking:

The 3 leaf girl has taken a strange kind of turn too, 2 leaves went into one and the first set of arms were a trio but now it seems the next set is a normal double, going to be very interesting seeing how she turns out.

That stilton really does sound nice too, maybe yet another to be added to my never ending list haha View attachment 1033160 View attachment 1033158 View attachment 1033159

lucky 7 of each! I’ll keep fingers crossed the timing all works out, I know how much bother it causes otherwise. three leaf girl could carry on the trend or just grow out of it I guess? let’s hope it produces a bonus cola or two :eyebrows:

it was a nice smoke for all the mistakes but o want to smash this strain the 2nd time around :headbang:

started trimming Ripley Friday night, still a few more branches to go :spels: easily the toughest trim job I’ve had yet
main cola chopped and trimmed was 28.83 grams :pass:

just don't go so heavy but in saying that if there healthy they wont even show any ill effects i do it normally twice in the grow and thinning her out helps airflow at the bottom aswell

frost fairy really turned up over the weekend as did the bubblegum aroma for my 55 day old HBSS

55hbss.jpg

i reckon she could stand to clear out a bit of fluff from the lowers, also considering dropping the cobs down a few inches now she's budding up but don't wanna push her too hard. i guess i could remove some leaves too...

opinions on defoliation? :pass:

still have some Ripley's buds hanging in the cupboard :spels: buds are big and airy with lots of leaf that needs trimming out, bag appeal is low but appearance is bottom of my list and she smells decent and i'm sure taste will be lovely after a week or two in glass. nice strong but functional high so far but too early for proper report.

the Stilton Special just keeps on impressing me though, deep complex flavour profile seems more refined each time i roll it up! flower quality is so good it makes Ripley's look worse than it is...just lovely resinous and frosty stinkin' nuggets. :smokeit: it's making the Sour Livers bean in the fridge very tempting to pop in the near future...i can see why @Vicent Van Grow doesn't mess about and grows a dirty dozen of these babies at a time.

I might only tuck and clear just a few leaves that block any sites you think are worthy, but she looks gorgeous. Nice job. She will stink up real nice...:gassy:

She looks pretty open to me. I wouldn't take anything off if it's not blocking light or creating airflow issues. I'm not convinced about lollipopping autos or any aggressive defol although I'm sure someone will chime in with evidence to the contrary.
A decent strain and a kind hand will still yield good lower buds. If it's not worth the trouble of trimming it - bubblehash party!

She's looking amazing btw. Those magpies must be a pain in the arse.

thanks Med! they get a bit better with each grow  she's my healthiest at this point so here's hoping she produces my best buds yet! thanks for checking in :pighug:

i often get this open structure quite naturally now, i think it's the 3500K spectrum cobs...a more veg-friendly spectrum and i think i'd get proper bushes but with my cobs it's almost impossible to stop them stretching out a little bit and i don't mind so much as i seem to end up with these more open plants that don't require much effort from me!

however! Sams'OG and GWK have been bent over for another round of LST with a view to even up the canopies across the strains. i want more buds to get that "sun-kissed crisp" that the most exposed buds get. :pass:

thank you for the compliments she is making me proud!

Looking good! I bet you're gonna love hbss.. wouldn't remove anything at this point either, good open structure too. About the lollipop, I've been doing it last 2 grows now, and my yields been better but I dno. Could be various things.. it looks better at least - my opinion
