What do I need for ppm? Never understood that.

I lost an entire harvest because I bought Cheap tools. I invested Hundreds of dollars in time, electricity, seeds and nutrients to lose it all because a PH pen that was off by two full points. I buy nothing but the best now and keep a Blue Lab PH pen as a back-up to My Blue Lab combo meter!

Just sayin..................... I also have a new PH probe in stock at all times.

I have a meter for the water ph. Whats with measuring the ppm though? Is that a test of the water that comes out of the grow bag? I dont understand that part.

The PPM is measuring the solids in the water in parts per million. Nothing in the water RO or distilled will be close to 0 ppm. But in this case he is giving how much he is adding of the nutes. 0 to 600 or so a maximum in heavy flower.

Really kinda up to you to decide how much and how far you want to do. We all develop our own styles. I do not monitor my ppm levels when in soil. But, I use a different nute line and system. I've done DWC, flood and drain, coco, etc and when hydroponic, I do monitor pH and ppm. Personal experience, soil grows don't require the monitoring that soilless takes. Obviously there are exceptions. And, usually all that monitoring pays a weighty dividend at the end.

i run FFOF and add tiger bloom in at week 6 until week 9 then regular water with a final top dress of FFOF at week 9 for final weeks and usually flush at week 11 i like to push my autos to 12 weeks. Good luck keep it simple and don’t over water.

I will use the paper towel method to start my seeds. FFOF wont kill that seedling will it?
