New Grower First time grow with 'Early Miss'. Photo and time lapse video:-)

Yup I would go with termite too. Nice to see fellow Ontarian on the site.

I'm going to diverge from popular opinion and guess Springtails.

That looks like a termite, but that doesn't make sense lol. No reason termites would be hanging around under a pot or in a tray... I don't think...

I agree! They DO look like termites when you look at photos online. They aren't though, for sure. They are so tiny....like a couple of grains of sand!

That's what I thought, but when looking at photos, they don't have the same body/segments. Plus they don't jump....instead they scurry!
For sure not termites, way too small....
I think that link I found, that looks a bit like them....they seem to like the same conditions that are in the grow tent.
So strange. I will check the soil today and see if they are in there!

Hi Star420...

I have no idea what they could be, but maybe you could call pest control and ask them to come by and help you out?...just tell them to not mind the plant...:stylez rasta smoke:....nah man..just busting your balls a bit...maybe you could try some non-toxic natural homemade remedies"Stirring" ?? (here's a link of what I could find using the all favorite google). Maybe there is a section on this forum also about (natural) pest control?

I hope this may be of some help somehow. I wish you :goodluck: monsieur and hopefully these bugs won't get in the way of grow. Here's some good :karma Cloud:

Cheers...

Day 38:

Checked for those little bugs in the soil with my microscope....nada. Couldn't even find the fungus knat larvae, so that is a non-issue. I haven't seen them flying for a bit now. I'm sure it's because I caught them fast....they were the product of a failed mini mushroom grow:-/ PHEW!

Checked the bottom of the pots. Persephones was clear, Serena had one. So those are pretty much gone. I think it was the moist soil issue.

Both have grown two inches each. Here is a photo of the trichomes....on Persephone you can see the slight amber hue at the ends! Exciting! Sorry they aren't so clear. Will get better ones in the future. I love this microscope, it's awesome!

The very top!

Funny thing. I had little insects in my pots as well during the first few weeks. There were only a few of them and then after a couple more weeks they disappeared.
I figured they were springtails. I'll never know for sure but hopefully I won't have to.

Anyway, here's a picture I took of one.
