New Grower First Post First Grow

Hey Just1, it's all part of the learning process, man. We have all been there. It looks like a water issue to me, probably overwatering, but I am not a soil guy. I read where's folks say hi ou should let the soil dry out between watering though. Don't know if you are doing that to see how the leave should respond when watered vs when the thirsty.

You should get some paraffin tape. LST's best friend. It will hold things together, not cut into the plant, and allow it tò still breathe. Cheap stuff for a big roll. Good luck, man!

Thanks for the tip Iriee, I'll check out that tape. The zip tie was a last resort and since its only 3-4 weeks from being done I rolled the dice.

Day 42. Well, my first major recovery has been accomplished. The flush apparently worked. Both droopy girls are reaching up towards the light again and looking cheerful.

Temps are now 69-70 during the day with 59% RH. I adjusted the small fans to low speed and have them buffeting the canopy for better air movement.

The Critical + is flowering beautifully. Buds are well defined and growing in length. I assume they will thicken and put on weight as the time to harvest approaches.

The other 3 are in similar early flower stage with the Diesel slightly ahead. Shooting out a bunch of pistils at the bud sites but not getting frosty yet or looking like solid buds.

Day 46. All the girls are happy. If I had to guess, and since this is my first grow this is a complete guess, I'd say the Critical + (1st pic) is about two weeks away from being ready. That would be 5 days earlier than Dinafem's estimate. it's so exciting to see the buds get thick and firm and the complete cinabon frosting of the bud and sugar leaves. YUM!

The Diesel (2nd pic) is at least a week further out than the Critical. The Sweet Tooth and Pineapple Express have a long way to go. No pics on these this round. The colas have been established but have a lot of filling out and then fattening up to do. Guessing 4-5 weeks on those.

Day 56. 69 Degrees and 60% RH. The Sweet Tooth and Pineapple Express are filling out nicely. Both have developed really nice cola structure, they’ve got about a month to go I figure.

The buds on the Diesel are looking really nice. They’re bulking up. Lots of hairs turning orange. Even a decent amount of amber trich’s. I still think it’s got two weeks or so to go. Only a leaf or two have yellowed. Plant is very green.

The speed demon of this grow is the Dinafem Critical +!!!!! It was cut today. 4 days short of the Dinafem’s early window. 60-70 days is what they list. All the pics are of this plant.

So this is officially my first completed grow and first successful grow. Going with the water only soil was a smart move. I’m sure I’ve given up some yield but I didn’t have to work about mixing nutes or chasing nutrient issues.

When I started this grow it seemed like the end was so far off. Hard to believe the first plant has already reached the end. Now to learn how to harvest, trim, dry and cure. Oh, and then enjoy some consumption. I haven’t smoked in almost 20 yrs. And I’m sure this will be as high a quality bud as I’ve ever had.

7 days of hang dry on the Critical +. My area is dark and averages 62% RH. I don’t have a dehumidifier but I’ll be getting one. Smallest branches just snapped. Buds dry on the outside but I feel they’re probably on the damp side so even though I’m jarring them I’ll keep an eye on them. I have a Rh meter in the jar so I’m good. Largest sing bud is 3 grams. Total yield 28 grams. I’m thrilled as this is my first grow....and the other three plants will yield a good bit more.

I plan to cut the Diesel down between tomorrow (Monday) and Saturday. One thing I didn’t realize was how each harvest is like an autumn. It’s my favorite season and now I get to enjoy it through the year.

I’m thinking the Pineapple Express and Sweet Tooth are 3-4 weeks away and I’m in no hurry as they seem to be packing on the weight.

Congrats! I'm going through the finishing stages of my first grow as well.
So much information to take in and experiment with... the possibilities are endless
