New Grower First Post First Grow

Thanks for all the interest and kind words guys.

Day 28. I watered the girls pretty well yesterday with 3-4.5 cups of distilled water. The pots were perfectly heavy when I was done and still have good weight to them today. Tweaked the training yesterday as well. I'm thrilled with the flat top symmetry of the Critical and Sweet Tooth. The Pineapple Express that I femmed is really catching up to the others and the main stem has bulked up. Temp is holding at 71 and RH is 50.

I've got a second 315LEC in the tent but don't see an advantage using it at this point. Not sure if they'll keep spreading out horizontally. Would there be any advantage to centering two of the pots under their own light? If so when, now or later in the grow when the buds are in full bloom?

Also the space the tent in smells downright skunky. It exciting to me but I can also see an issue coming when they really start throwing off the stink. I've got a 6" fan and Carbon Filter exhausting outside the tent into the large space, unfinished basement. The intake is at the bottom of the tent on the opposite side of the tent, its about 4"X16" with micro mesh. The tent has good negative pressure with the sides bowing in. The fan/filter are Grow Bright brand purchased from HTG. Any suggestions?

looking happy as is :smoking: maybe in a couple or 3 weeks the extra light will help bulk them up

You may have your fan turned up higher than the filter capacity. I run 6 plants in full bloom with a 6” fan and never go over 50% on my fan.

You may have a air leak. All joints need to be taped very well. I use the band clamps with the foam liner and double bolts at joints that aren’t duct taped. If the room stinks at this stage it’s probsbly and easy fix that was missed.

Give it a once over, fix it. Then spark up a joint in the tent. If someone can smell it outside then start again. It’s a tough job but keep lighting up until no smell. Then you’ll be ready for flower.

Day 31. Just a quick update. Not much to report which is a good thing I think. Bags were light but not "no water" light like I let them get last round. Tips of new growth aren't turning white/yellow anymore so I think I've got my watering timing down. Very little training over the last week. I think I'm done with training except for tucking random fan leaves. Correct me if I'm wrong but at this point I think I just let them flower and the buds fatten over the next 5-7 weeks. I'm really pleased with the progress so far of my first grow.

I do plan on lighting up the second 315LEC in a couple weeks. Any suggestions for light height during full flower for a 315 and auto's? Enjoy the porn!

Day 34. Again, not much to report. Turned on the second light and spread the girls out a bit. 76 degrees and 51% RH. Bags still have decent weight, I'm thinking Tuesday morning will be next water.

I did have a weird thing happen overnight after rearranging. The Sweet Tooth and P Express were both wilted and droopy this morning after the lights came on, they're directly adjacent to the air intake at the bottom of the tent so I assume that had something to do with it. Since then the ST has perked up. P Ex is getting there.

The Dinafem Critical + is a much lighter green than the rest and it's stems are turning purple, I guess that's just a genetic thing. It is following Dinafem's description of having few leaves and being spread out. The RQS Diesel is starting to impress me, dark green, dense, lots of bud sites. My free Sweet Tooth is really strong with great structure.

I've realized that the 3 different lenses I've got for my Nikon DSLR can't touch my iPhone super duper. I'd like to get a macro lens but think I'll get a usb microscope instead. Can't wait to see what the girls have in store for the last half of their lives. Bulk, stink, sticky, good good good! Pics are Critical + flower and purple stems and the third pic is the RQS Diesel.

Day 38. Somehow I've f'd up my Pineapple Express (pic 1) majorly and my Sweet Tooth (pic 2) to a lesser extent, both have started drooping and growth has stalled over the last week. My Critical + (pic 3) and Diesel (pic 4) are going strong.

I pick up the bags to judge when to water and how much but I'm still inexperienced so its not a surprise to me. I also had my first casualty, while trying to remove a training wire I split the Critical main stem right where it was topped. Ended up needing to use a zip tie to secure it back together. We'll see how it responds.
