Good shout.

Hopefully won't be needed this year but it could go on the shopping list for next season.... Or I'll build something that folds away as I have access to polycarbonate sheets and all sorts of fixings and hinges through work [emoji3]

well great improvement weather wise in the north west i hope the suns back with you and no wind keep me updated pal

Hope it picks up for you mate. Its nice to see our great british weather producing the finest of friut :) I'm a novice grower, my first year and was very sceptical about our climate. I grow indoors but decided I fancied ago outside too. I have 2 nyc diesels at 49 days, the 'test subject' nyc that I will be putting out is 21 days. My final nyc popped 2 days ago and I started a thc bomb off which arrived yesterday and to my surprise is a tri leaf seedling....very interesting. Anyway I've just started to place my nyc diesel outside during the day and working up to living out there full time. She's 21 days today, she's spent the past 2 days in the garden and nights in the shed I think today/tomorrow will be her final moving day (weathers abit shit today). She spent the first week under a 125w cfl then she moved in with her sisters under the viparspectra 450w led. I gave her a light feed last week and she seems to have taken very well to it. Hopefully we get some nice weather over the coming months. Can I ask where abouts in the uk are you mate? Week 3 day 20.jpg

@Quentin3176 thanks man for dropping by and welcome to AFN [emoji3]

Dwarfy has been outside permanently for 2 weeks now and was going great but that crazy weather came out of nowhere and it's still not great now.

PS I'm on the Essex coast.

Day 34: Fending for herself.

Another week has flown by, what with the mad weather and me being so busy at work Dwarfy has been a bit neglected.

The wind is still here but the sun came out which should help her but I've kind of decided as I have at least another 3 weeks of 12 hr work days that Dwarfy will basically be left to crack on with it.

Yes she has holes in her leaves and yes there are some spots but I'm going to treat her like she was growing out in mother nature and let her get on with it. (Well that's a lie cos I'm gonna continue with BioBizz but I'm not gonna fiddle with her much or fuss over her).

The only other thing I might do is a bit of LST: bend the main stem towards north and spread a couple of the lower branches out to the sides.

So yeah, she's gonna look knarly and tatty, I still love her but she's gonna just have to deal with it!

Seeing as the night is pretty clear might just pull out my scope as Jupiter is floating high in the south right now and there's nothing like gazing at the heavens to make you feel grounded.

Took this pic last year just on my phone through the eyepiece, no special equipment [emoji3]

Day 35: LST

Dwarfy by name but not by nature. Well I decided that at 3ft to the top (including pot) she was standing out too much among the tomatoes so time for some plant bondage.

I'm almost a bit embarrassed to post these pics cos she looks even more untidy now (I'm a bit OCD with tidyness) but this is what I have done:

The main stem has been given a yank back. The little bud sites at the bottom have instantly more light and I have left them pointing straight up. The lower side branches I have pulled out to the sides so she looks like she wants to give a big hug! And a fairly decent looking bud site at the back I have manoeuvred out to the side a bit to be bathed in more light.

Now there's no big tip pointing out above the tomatoes, she blends in better despite the arrangement of pipe cleaners!

Gave her another feed as she was finally a bit drier after all the rain. The brown spots are cal / mag / iron deficiency right? I'm guessing the rain doesn't have much of those minerals in it and seeing as 8/10 waterings have come from the sky the past 2 weeks that would make sense!

Cheers
