I do different kinds of trims depending on the circumstances but bye far imo you get the best quality of bud bye hanging a plant whole then dry trimming and yes its totally a pain in the arse but well worth it after a good cure much better smoother smoke !
[emoji482] Well That's really up for debate
I've tried a lot a lot of different ways to dry AND cure my weed.... I've but never limited to .
hang dry screen dry sundry paper bag dry cardboard box dry just leave it on the counter dry hang from the lamp dry hang from so many places that I forgot where they're all at dry. And now I've done sundry hang from the cage top[emoji106][emoji106] and now I've also done a new one to me called water curing.
This new water cure way is very smooth like a 8 week regular jer cure.
So I did a 5-day cure with the wedding cake this and it's where you change the water every 24 hours for 5 to 7 days and then dry and finsh as normal. The smoke comes out like it's been cured for like eight or nine weeks. But it completely changes the flavor and smell of the weed it really does. I did it 2 ways with the same plant.
So it didn't change it to a bad way it just changed it.... different.
The original wedding cake is more fruity and sweet and color was more of a lime light lime green.
Where the water cured wedding cake came out with e slightly spicy and earthy kind of Alpine Woods flavor and the color came out dark very dark compared to its counterpart.
The effects as far as THC is concerned CBD they were exactly the same no change.
I was considering wet trimming my next one, hanging maybe a couple days, and then into paper bags. Have you tried any of the paper bag drys? From now on I’ve only got one to two plants finishing at any given time, so either method I use will be easier than this harvest. I’m not complaining, more work means more jars
It's a great way man. A 5 month cure in the bag[emoji106][emoji106][emoji482]
Good start - not much experience with that combination but should be fine - plant will take what it needs .....
Wanna watch putting green matter as mulch - it could take nutrients from soil as it breaks down ???
I usually use straw and compost myself!
Yes it will rub the nitrogen out of soil when you use anything green for mulch. It's got to have fuel for the fire.
So I’d really like to have an indoor grow through the winter, just 1 or 2 plants. Thinking of trying to find a smaller tent, like 2 feet deep and 4 feet wide. Does anyone have any input or suggestions? I don’t have a lot of money, the kids keep eating all of it
. Looking for any equipment recommendations or general advice.
Thanks guys
I built my own isn't that hard to do a frame some tarps.
I use the white tarps. Maybe some pieces of 1/8" plywood if you want with tarps or painted white. Man it's not that hard to make a tent or a grow room..
Man looked it up online or YouTube it Google it there's lots and lots of diagrams out there to build your own tent anyway you want to do it. And it cost way less and you'll probably be way more satisfying if you do it yourself.
But that's just my two cents worth on everything... [emoji106][emoji482]
y'all take care...
Ooo I'm done harvesting too yeehaw now crop 2 coming hey
