New Grower First grow, outdoor GCS Critical Purple Cold Weather

You've done great buddy, good growing! You've overcome some major problems and still managed to get some full jars!....:toke:
What other favorites have you found?
another one I really like is fugue state, none I have grown have been monsters but the smoke is amazing

Thanks! I’ve learned some lessons for sure, there’s been some up and down. I’ll have to wait until next year for any more strains, unless I can find what I need to keep one inside. Seems like it would be such a nice influence during the snowy winter to have green life in the house. But I will totally keep Fugue state in mind! I’m more about quality than quantity.

Still no Chemdawg, if she doesn’t pop not sure if I should stick another seed in that pot or just call it a wash. We’re getting pretty late in the season to be starting another here. Bummer, that was my coco tester. I usually mixed some in, but this pot was mostly coco n stuff.
It’s been 7 or 8 days :/.

If u can find ur seed scratch the shell lightly on something abrasive like sand paper Lightly then put a drop of bleach in ur water n soak it in it over night put it in a damp paper towel in a baggie I've used this technique on trouble seeds n had pretty good success but I only use that with seeds that I had trouble germinating

I’ll try it, thanks for all the knowledge :pass:

Trimmed ak last night (harvested last Tuesday), jarred her and soon she was up to 77%. Pulled her out, into a paper bag, jarred her this morning and she’s holding at 56%. Lesson learned, hoping I didn’t kill my chances of a nice cure. Still another ak hanging, one more chance

Man, dry trimming is a bitch lol. We are on family vacation right now with all the kids, so I scramble every morning to get some done and then stay up super late working on it. Down to the last part of AK2, she’s a beast. SODK had some disappointing bud structure, Chemdawg gave up just over half a 1L jar total. But overall so far Ive got 5.5L, and 5 more young plants still outside, so I’m very happy. It’s been an awesome experience, a bit of an emotional roller coaster but from now on I think it will be more casual.

I do different kinds of trims depending on the circumstances but bye far imo you get the best quality of bud bye hanging a plant whole then dry trimming and yes its totally a pain in the arse but well worth it after a good cure much better smoother smoke !

I was considering wet trimming my next one, hanging maybe a couple days, and then into paper bags. Have you tried any of the paper bag drys? From now on I’ve only got one to two plants finishing at any given time, so either method I use will be easier than this harvest. I’m not complaining, more work means more jars :)
