Watering at 6.6 and runoff is 6.8 so that seems ok?

watering should go in a little lower if you're coming out at 6.8.... ideally 6.3- 6.5 (soil) in and out...

I'd double your nutes next feed... that should help bump your ph down goin in... You could hit it as low as 5.9 or 6.0 in and prob still get 6.5 out... soil takes a lot more time to change over ph thatn water...

referring to that chart... see how potassium, calcium and magnesium are starting to lock out at 6.8 ish? these are very key flowering fruting nutrients... thats why the papery leaf edges... and most of the problem is probably ph.... just availability of nutrients.
:toke:

I have a ph soil meter and I go through my stuff a couple times a week (both canna and veggies and such) and check ph.... whenever i see problem coming on... i suspect ph... 90% of the time thats the case..

my mom has said for years, "I can never get anything to grow in my garden" I cam in this year and tested her soil... 6.8-7.0

so i buffered it down to appropriate ph's for each veggie.... 6.0 - 6.5 for most... and everything is lush with explosive growth now.

she's finally starting to beleieve me... :crying:

haha nice, i only started to pH my garden veg and stuff after i started reading up on canna knowledge, didnt know it was such a big deal before is all deffo looking much better now though :D

Well, i was going in much lower about 5.8-6 and coming out at 6.5-6.8, but then i was getting phosphorus deficiency and lost loads of leaves so i upped it this time to try be on the safe side hah!

Is harder than i thought trying to get these things dialled in spot on! So much for the "Its a weed, it'll grow in anything!" philosophy!!

I love hearing this from inexperienced people... :crying:

It always cracks me up.... I just wish I could watch the first year when they actually try to grow... lol

ypu... and now you prob see that that P def was caused by your high ph... :toke:

well i was assuming the P def was caused by slightly low pH!

I could dig some lime into the top soil though would bring it down bit maybe..

Am thinking these plants definitely wont be reaching their full potential what with pH problems from the start of flower pretty much, hopefully if i keep it on track from now on it should still be a respectable harvest. next time will be slightly more organised and prepared so will hopefuly avoid these problems!

yeah... dont lime for down though... you want aluminum sulfate for ph down for soil... lime takes you up... to a max of 7.0

if you use aluminum sulfate... just a light sprinkle before you water... water it in and wait a day or 2 before you expect a reading thats fairly accurate...

:toke:

cool cheers guys, will get some of that an see how it goes

Day 71: Update

So, over the last couple of weeks they've been fattening up nicely, they were showing signs of a k def so i got them a pk 13/14 booster, namely plant magic bloom boost, and they perked right up again!

I also planted two new seeds, one Dutch Passion blueberry and one of Dinafem's moby dick autos. Haven't seen any other grows of the moby dick auto so i will give these new ones a journal of their own once they are a bit bigger! :D

However since i got over exited and planted them without any real thought as to where they're gonna go, I'm gona have to prematurely chop one of the mi5s to make room.. Should have just been more patient and waited! Trichs are almost all cloudy and most of the fan leaves have gone yellow on one of them though so i guess that's nearly done. Hopefully it'l still be some decent smoke and i won't be losing too much weight. I do feel bad for her though :(..

never mind though, enjoy some more pics!

You've done a great job on those.
Shame about the MI5 coming down. Looks like it needs a couple more weeks. The fattening weeks too!
Put those babies in a window sill for 10 days, maybe??
