@squid, thanks for the info will just measure first bit in future then, only reason i'm getting lots of run off is coz i'm using airpots, so quite a bit comes out of the sides! pretty inconvenient when watering i gotta say, gotta water really slowly to avoid it.

@Killijin yeah i used the calibration stuff when i first got it out the box, used it all thoughcoz they were only little sachets, will get round to buying something similar soon enough

aww see now, you could of just put it in a clean bottle and used it nearly indefinitely as long as your tester wasn't contaminated before testing. But no biggie, you can just get some more from somewhere, it isn't too expensive.

I will soon be learning about that with the Airpots. I've heard about it before, but so many people keep using them. I'm sure I'll deal just fine.

I have 2 in airpots and one in a similar size normal pot and tbh i havent noticed any big difference in growth so far.. so maybe it's not worth the extra money and hassle of watering slowly, i guess yields will be the final proof though.

the science of the airpots is sound and makes sense, but the price, I can't wait till their patent expires so someone else can make these things. It's just plastic over a mold, no different than any other plastic pot. I want to see a side by side comparison of 2 5 gallon pot grows of the same strain, under the same conditions, one an airpot, the other plain jane. If you or anyone else knows of someone who has done this, please show me the thread or link. Thanks.

well like i said all my pots are about 10l and 2 airpots and 1 normal so will see which gives the best final result. at the moment the two in airpots are looking good and getting crystally, whereas the one in the normal pot is looking like its probably going to be bigger yield but as of yet looks less mature and has less trichcomes.. though thats probably more likely just down to genetics..


Anyway, a little update, cant remember what day im on now, 55/56 maybe

Have been getting a little concerned about how slow growth is as i was hoping to be done by day 70-80 really and by the looks of things they not gonna be ready in 2 weeks! I thought maybe this was because of the p deficiency as they've lost a lot of their big lower leaves now so i guess they're absorbing less light = less growth.. so i had a little crisis this morning when i saw yellowing on leaves nearer the bud and gave them a panic flush with ph 6.8 tap water about 10l each then when they dry out will start them on some weak bloom nutes again.

Also noticed when i took them out again the one closest to the light has got some pretty obvious signs of bleaching which i should have noticed earlier, nm though have swapped them round and will keep rotating them so none get too much light.
Question; will light bleaching have any severe impact on my yield/potency? or is it mostly just cosmetic?

Apart from that though they're looking fairly healthy and starting to smell dead tasty
the two in airpots smell strongly of citrus/piney and the other is sweeter and more fruity. when the smells combine in the room it has a general odour of fresh mint which is very pleasing! just makes me wana

Little update if anyones still reading!

All is looking pretty much the same after last weeks flush, gave them a hefty feed yesterday so hopefully theyl eat that up.

Have noticed the tips of upper leaves, not the actual tips, the serrated bits down the side, are turning brown and pointing up today? nute burn maybe? tried to take some pics, couldnt get many good ones on shitty phone camera though.



So i should be on the home stretch now, anybody willing to hazard a guess as to how long I got left??

I tend to think ph is out a little maybe.. maybe light on nutes,

Watering at 6.6 and runoff is 6.8 so that seems ok?

Could well could be light on nutes coz i didnt feed since the flush last week.

Gave them 4ml/l bloom 1ml/l grow 2ml/l ace ofbuds and some molases and epsom yesterday, The one before a coullpe weeks ago was the same with a little less bloom and ace of buds.

cool jus seen your chart, will give them a couple of days then see how they like this feed, if it doesnt work just give them more bloom next time maybe?
