Chuckeye, part of me feels like you're right and I'm not gonna ignore it, so I went ahead and ordered some more Pro mix hp. I have mega crop, bud explosion and sweet candy. I'll also remove any of the small under developed plants and try to follow along with your journal when it comes to these new pots. Thanks for your comments and as for everyone else, please keep watching and showing your support. It means a lot
I hope we have helped put you on the right path !
My suggestions are only what I have found works for me.
Continue your research, keep a good journal, use any space space to experiment and question Everything including my suggestions
This is untrue misinformation.
Transplant shock is not bro science, it is a real condition plants can suffer from that has been widely studied by scholars. Transplanting can damage the roots of your plants, and depriving them of water while transplanting is a great way to stunt them. I've read enough of this untrue misinformative bro science you're spreading.
@RedWolfDiesel , good luck with grow my friend.
I think if we limit this discussion to cannabis you can agree transplant shock is rare.
How hard can it be ?
Start in a solo cup, when the leaves have reached the rim and there is evidence of roots coming out the bottom it is time.
Some find it helpful to use a clear cup inside a light fast one. Makes it easy to track the progress of the roots.
Use another cup to form a hole in the new home/medium when filling the pot to receive the seedling.
I don't remember suggesting depriving them of water while transplanting ? Or at any other time. A wet/dry cycle is not the same as depriving them.
In fact, I find a moist medium holds together better when removing it from the solo cup. A few gentle squeezes helps to separate the root ball from the cup, invert while supporting the plant with one hand and remove the cup with the other hand.
Place into the prepared hole.
And then water around the root ball, slowly increasing the amount as the plant grows.
This will encourage the roots to grow sideways and slowly increasing the amount of water as the plant uses it will encourage the roots to grow down. Too much water, too soon and the plant may not develop a full root ball.
Cheers
